Fidelity Special Situations Fund research update

Alex Wright, manager of the Fidelity Special Situations Fund, seeks companies he feels are undervalued and unloved, where he expects a turnaround in the near future.

.... Alex Wright feels the industry is looking increasingly competitive; Tesco would require reduced competition to allow higher prices before there would be a catalyst for change. He is therefore not initiating an investment at this time. Conversely, he is positive on newsagent, McColl's Retail as he feels they are well placed to benefit from an increasing trend of convenience shopping.

Late reported 18k @ 180.5p doing the damage today , probably executed around 1pm when the first fall came, other small sells following for the rest of the day.
