28/8/2014 17:53 | Changed your tune Hatetrader - remember you ramping these at 190p and all your bull then? Took you a few years to realise what a mug you'd been but you managed it eventually :-) Still, at least you're learning now - which is a forward step for you. CR | cockneyrebel
28/8/2014 09:27 | I will read these results again next time I have trouble sleeping. Such is the lack of trust and ambition of management the valuation still trades at half their cash balances. Not many stocks do that but they remain friendless. | 21trader
08/7/2014 11:10 | Hope someone out there will follow simon Templars lead. I assume new chairman is about to announce a whole series of measures to bring MBL in line with public company standards? Additional non execs Proper remuneration committee And perhaps a strategy that does something other than pay salaries to directors. | timesmoney
07/7/2014 22:02 | Was reading motley fool someone over there posted details of my derivative action and MUBL was mentioned in the post. If you are having problems have you though of instigating a derivative action like I am doing... Here are the links: Southport Visitor Times | simon templar qc
19/6/2014 10:17 | Indeed, thank him for his destruction of shareholder value! | dvb99
17/6/2014 18:02 | Somehow this feels like tongue in cheek. "I would like to thank Peter for his hard work and dedication and wish him all the best in his future endeavours" | 21trader
17/6/2014 17:50 | Does anyone know the new chairman, Tony Johnson? | marben100
17/6/2014 17:06 | A bit late for Cowgill to grow a pair of balls. | jonc
17/6/2014 16:43 | Cowgill - as Chairman of JDSports - is quite a 'heavyweight' (in every sense!) who was brought in to give some appearance of governance and respectability to what was basically a family-controlled business when it looked to be going somewhere on the back of its relationship with Morrisons. When Morrisons unceremoniously ditched them and it all went pear-shaped, Cowgill vowed to stay on and 'put it right'. As 21trader said, it's now a tuppeny-ha'penny company looking desperately for a reason to exist beyond keeping the Allan family in style and really shouldn't be listed at all. I imagine that Cowgill has realised that isn't going to change and has decided he has better things to do with his time. | jeffian
17/6/2014 16:28 | More than likely there is no enthusiasm to change the current outlook and management with fancy salaries here but not delivering any shareholder value. I cannot remember but does Cowgill hold his stock via a holding company now his name does not appear on the register but a couple of large holdings might be him. Problem is Allens hold too much stock so impossible to acquire more than 50% well not impossible but almost so nothing can or will be done. No wonder there is no volume they really should delist this company now why waste 150k a year on that ? | 21trader
17/6/2014 15:07 | Love to know who wants what | 21trader
17/6/2014 14:55 | LoL - even Cowgill and the Allens having a fight now :-) CR | cockneyrebel

19/5/2014 17:15 | Vote for me as non-exec at the next AGM, I'll do it for only £200k pa + bonuses. I was going to say I'll do it for peanuts but...... | rbcrbc
19/5/2014 16:35 | The car boot sale idea is better than any ideas that the current management have come up with! | timesmoney
19/5/2014 15:45 | Might even be enough room to store some old DVD's round the back, and have a car boot sale every Sunday. | rbcrbc
19/5/2014 15:32 | That's a lot of bird seed. | typo56
19/5/2014 15:24 | Was that something a little birdy told you ? lol Now who provided that warehouse and have MBL given up the other one ? | davidosh

19/5/2014 14:55 | registered office has changed to unit 1, millennium park, preston. anyone know anything about that ? They were at enterprise court in Leyland. | fft
12/2/2014 08:52 | Hardly surprising that it's a dead stock. If this was listed on a respecable third world stock exchange it would probably be struck off the list with directors thrown into prison. Directors showed their true colours in the past. They are simply continuing this birdseed malarkey to milk the remaining funds. | tommyjnewton
18/1/2014 17:18 | As long as they pay for it :-)) Bit strange all those small buys this is normally a dead stock these days. | 55investor
18/1/2014 17:11 | Rats getting at the bird seed? | jonc
18/1/2014 17:01 | A few nibbles this week out of nowhere. | 55investor
09/1/2014 12:25 | Anybody thinking of 'investing' here please read back on the previous posts and hopefully you will think again. There may apparently be some cash but it is certainly not in safe hands. This company would not be allowed to operate as it has in some third world countries. | tommyjnewton |
