Dirt cheap - less than £5m

New management. New strategy. New technology.

Low risk.

Growing production via workovers & new drills to come.

Significant holding in Block Energy (which will relist soon)

I can get an online quote to sell 2m at 0.64p at the moment.

This is playing out similar to yesterday. The MMs have been gathering stock through the day to sell higher in the afternoon IMO.

Block Energy Plc Acquisition Georgia Assets and GBP300,000 Fundraising.

"Additionally, the Company announces that it has raised a total of GBP300,000 (before expenses) through an equity placing and Convertible Loan Note with Mayan Energy plc("Mayan"), an AIM listed oil and gas company. The closed equity placing for GBP90,000 at a price of 0.85 pence per share, issues 10,588,235 ordinary shares in the Company to Mayan. The Company, at the same time, has raised a further GBP210,000 through the issue of an unsecured loan note, to Mayan. The loan note is convertible into equity of the Company at a 10% discount to any price at which Block Energy's shares will be listed on AIM or admitted to trading on any stock exchange and carries a 10% flat coupon".

36.5 kilometre squared with multiple wells that have tested oil and gas from multiple geological horizons.

P2 reserves of 16.3 million barrels of oil (Russian C1 Category).

620 billion cubic feet ("bcf") of light sweet gas potential (Russian C2 Category).

I'm afraid that's just wishful thinking imho and esp as you're basing it on hearsay.

Even were it true, £400k isn't imho going to prevent placings here. Look at the size of previous placings;

Oct - £1,250,000
Mar - £600,000
Jun - £587,500
Aug - £861,000

Then look at the recent broker note from Align Research. It said:

"over the next six months, at least $500,000 will be spent on developing the potential of this property [Stockdale]" and

"Mayan has agreed to carry the seller on certain development expenses up to a value of $200,000 before the end of January 2018"

Align went on to offer this cautionary piece:

"To successfully achieve the development program that has been announced it looks as though Mayan will require an additional £400,000."

Long story short, Mayan needs a lot of money. I'd say a placing is nailed on and the current spike doesn't change my view on that, rather it enforces it. All imho. GL.

I think people are wary that a fundraising could come anytime, particularly with the share price spiking up..

Agreed. In the short term, I want to see them prove the WO program with short term target of 60bopd+being achieved and heading for 250bopd nearterm and medium term 400-500bopd. The upper Anacacho rssult, although very small, proves how useful quad neutron is here in unearthing bypassed payzones. They need to optimise it.

At £4.6mln, this is still remarkably cheap compared to some companies valued anywhere between £30mln and well over £100mln with no production at all, just hype.

Still only £4.6m mkt cap so lots of room yet. They will need to get off to a good start with the workovers next week to keep this level of interest. I think anything like 100 - 150 BOPD should be sufficient.
