cheers humbugg getting back to the day to day but with a more relaxed attitude.

humbugg i'm quite happy to wait it out...at the end of the day to turn the business around takes time...so have to be happy that they took "paper" at 0.75p..at the end of the day he wants to get a decent return. The share price will climb as the weeks proceed as there isnt much stock available at this share price Those who were more risk averse but patient will take a position now as they have an upside of 50%???. The mm's can mess about as much as they want but t20 from friday and those who bought will have to get their stock. I now belive we will steadily rise to the placing price over coming month. It's not a trading stock as the mm's are keeping a large spread so until they want trading and reduce spread i think we will slowly rise as those who buy and are patient till the april meeting will get a nice return. Obviously those who are looking mid term and if they can start turning the business around then expect a good return. I do agree old shareholders from prevoius heights may not be happy but this is their opportunity to average down and bring their average buy price down...saw it in mta/mxp/rxp/ast/amer and numerous others last year where those who averaged down came out with a massive upside.

also shows they waited until cazenove trashed the price to then get a bargain even after giving us a 50% uplift on the share price from which placing price determined...bearing in mind we were 1.5p range before cazenove started selling so effectively he managed to get another approx 30% of the company at a bargain...another indicator that cazenove are out.

good luck all

I expect them to keep the share price price these levels till new or existing funds to load up.Today 2 millions buys could be start of new funds buying in unless somebody owns up them.

I do not know where they are going to find to stock at these levels .i guess what they were doing last couple of week, lowering the share price to panic PI to sell.as 4 or 5 us here loaded up here good couple of millions.so if we hold on to what we got they have no alternative but rise share price to entice seller.
This was my theory before and it was confirmed by another source this week, once they load up they will take it up to 1.5p where is the real value of the co.
I do not think they have alot of stock at these prices as if you look at the volume last 2 weeks they only managed to but couple of millions at .40p.
So i am very sound with my money here.

Good luck

Just been looking at past key newsflow dates and notice the pattern for reporting finals around March was broken in 2009, but half yearly report in September resumed newsflow that month. So it could be finals in March as 07 & 08 or maybe we wait until June as last year.

Not a problem for me as I don't trade leveraged, but may be a guide for others.

Dont be down with your investment, this has brought down only by crafty MMs,they are bringing down share price intentionally for a reason. There is not enough sells to justify 12 percent drop in 2 days,I have been watching every trade closely all the shares sold are mopped by buys.So any positive news from the company will drive the share price rapidly higher levels and causing rerating the share price and it is going to be sustainable not just spikes.

I have been doing my part as well.Since i established the connection with Mr.Skinner I sent him 2 emails explaining shareholders are in great expectation of market update as they were upbeat in the last rns,and if they are planning to update the market these days are right time.

Share price is near all time low at the moment it is not time to sell,if you hold on to them you will be rawarded.

all imho

Morning all, funny how share price stagnated.
Rigger you are right.mms intentionally or not killed it.
I dont know if anybody has doubt that cazenove has still some shares to sell.
They finished around second week of february as they didnt have declare that created some uncertainity, and this has affected the share price i also observed as CAZ.was about the finish their holding the co.changed the nomad. This indicates new nomad will introduce mavinwood to its clients as prior to Caz.dumping their holding shares in free float was around 26 percent.we have now 42 percent. So my theory is that share price kept low while new nomad advise its client to buy mvw shares.

We may also hear from the co.regarding trading update as they were quite upbeat about document handling services and see if they bringing the peter cox back in to profitability. They have paid around 6 million for it back in 2007 and it was making around 1 million gross profit.
However since the recession it has posted loss first time.As things are improving i expect the management to bring in to profitability and hopefully sell it more then what they paid for it.

As you can see all from above article we have alot of news expectation from mvw and any upbeat news will take it to the august 2009 level. And i do not think it will be long before we will hear from them.

As i have already established contact with Mr skinner I will email him if he can update market.if some more of us do the same that would be better.

I am quite optimistic for the future.

Dear Mr.Skinner

Unfortunately I havent received a reply to my email below sent you last week.I would be grateful if you could reply.

I am writing to inform you I am a shareholder in your company I hold around xxxx mainwood shares in my nominee account.
Whilst I understand market conditions has been very bad lately and you had exteremly diffucult year I am sure you are doing everything
you can to keep Company going.I would like to thank you and for your staff.

There are couple of issues concerning me and I would be grateful if you could help me.As we know one of the major share holders cazanova
holdings decided offload their shares in your company. They have been selling shares since october 2009 hence constant selling cause share price
drift lower ever day.I have been depressed by the value of my holdings going lower every day.I do not know what is their motives they may have their
own reason.I have been looking forward to seeing they finish selling their shares as it depressed the share price of mainwood.
On 1st of February rns they have had 21.745 million shares. They have reduced from 30.745million.However on 18th of january they had 42.745 million
reduced from 49.745 millions. My concern is from On january 18th they were holding 42.745 millon shares but february rns stated they were 30.745 million shares prior to
reducing their position. There is 12 million shares has not been accounted. Is it a simple typing mistake? If not what has happened to the 12 million shares?
I have been fallowing the trades in the market there has been heavy selling which I guess from cazanova yet we have not heard from the Company regarding
holding.
I have noted there was change of nominated advisor to CENKO securities. If this is not price sensitive I would be grateful if you could tell me the motive
behind changing the Nomad?
Apart from these I hope everything is going very good in the company I am looking forward to seeing Mainwood growing in the sector.
I would like to thank you in advance for your time and looking forward to hearing from you very soon.
yours faithfully

first reply

Dear Mr xxx

My apologies for not replying earlier. I am awaiting a response on the point on Cazenove's shareholding as I agree with you that there is a missing step in the reduction of their shareholding in Mavinwood. The responsibility to notify us lies with Cazenove and our function is to notify the market according to what shareholders tell us. I will revert to you as and when I have the information.

The change in Nomad to Cenkos reflected the Board's belief that a change of adviser was appropriate given the company's troubled recent history, although the Board acknowledged that Collins Stewart had done a good job in very difficult circumstances.

second reply.

Dear Mr xxx

I have just heard from Cazenove. As a fund manager they do not need to disclose movements in their shareholding between 5% and 10%. Also, they have no need to disclose further once they are below 5%. This is something I was unaware of. I hope this clarifies the situation for you.

well at least hako that one is in the price...so hopefully next sustained buying we get we will start to move...which will attract those who have been sitting watching and waiting for overhang to clear...they have moved it fast when they kidded on overhang was gone so expecting it to move to the previous support levels as fast. have you topped up yet??? if not that sell should have delayed share price for you to get in...:)

pedro hat off to you i thought i was doing well sitting on 10 mill...whichever way you cut this think they maust be either finished or under 5 mill...if any of mine multibag will sell and load up if we are still here as see this as a classic overhang play with the share price on floor...so just the overhang finishing will take pressure of share price and then expect mometum traders to hit it. gl

share no re:uen if i had hindsight i would have sold over 11p after relist and then bought back...but mr keys comment makes me think maybe a group are using the silence from bod re:rns as an opportunity to dump some of their holdings to try to short it down...i have more now there than before suspension...but buying in piecemeals as no idea where they will take share price in short term so buying in 10k blocks...rather than 100k blocks!! probably make less but will hav emore if it is being taken back to 3p.

hjfe don think they got rid of many this week as the whole market was trying to sell last week...think as we have a dry up of buying they will have to take it lower to get rid..been busy on a few of my trading shares as think by cazenove being greedy and raising their exit share price they will take slightly longer...ps think you are right news will act as a catalayst.

o/t someone mentioned cn. last week...dotn know if i have mentioned it here but compare directors of cn. and srsp...read all the rns ay srsp and cn. was the 2nd largest by volume traded on friday so could be a rto and a multibagger...i got in at 0.4p but have averaged down..but share price is at it's lows...dyor but could do an srsp...there are a few posts putting peoples hunches on the cn. page.gl

in my opinion overhang is a myth for stocks like mvw. for ftse 100 or 250, instituitions and other main players who will buy from distressed buyers will keep the holdings for long term and gentleman locking period also will be attached to the deals.

here, 4 or 5 pi's hold, in my opinion 50m of mvw. i bet if the share price shoots up to 1p, all of the pi's will try dump the holdings for quick bucks with one or two
exceptions.

unless mvw comes up with new deals or take over the share price will hover at this level, in my opinion.

demark look at the comment the chairman posted you logically...

most directors always excuse share price by saying it is being shorted or they are trying to find out who is dumping and all is well and update coming soon( had this from mr.tm(edited tony mason) from mrp to rand from eel to FAO(which fell over at production stage and got taken out by blvn for a pittance)...

now for the chairman to quote 0.4p is fair value when share price has been trashed down from over 1p in 4 months by cazenove selling smells fishy to me...firstly most will never quote share price and most will say not fair value...so from logically point of view his email to you seems like games being played to keep share price down(maybe takeover and want share price to remain subdued???) ...alos the fact he actually emailed a price to you makes me even more suspicious they dont share price high because he must know you would tell others and hence that would hit the public bb's. So personally keeping holding as see a bounce and will see what end of january comes from company via rns as the above makes me even more bullish that share price will move sharpish. gl
