23/5/2020 12:59 | 6 figures?...you can afford to be a bluey... | diku
23/5/2020 12:56 | Next is a "M&B - Marstons Inns" Merger ! | chinese investor
23/5/2020 12:43 | Will be opening a short on Tuesday | barnes4
23/5/2020 12:43 | Me thinks what sort of English is that roar Are you Kirk off Corrie Kirk? | barnes4
23/5/2020 12:12 | In merger deal Marstons brewing arm only valued at £580m (88p a share) Current market cap/value for whole of Marstons is £379m (66p a share) Me thinks this has some way to still go (upwards) | latetrain20
23/5/2020 11:14 | Barnes are you in ? Been worried about you missing out on 100% rise in a week or so | kirk 6
23/5/2020 11:06 | Roar you will pile more in | barnes4
23/5/2020 11:06 | If some of you some guys remember a week ago it spiked up intraday to 38p and came down...maybe it was due to be announced on that day but postponed it until yesterday afternoon ahead of bank holiday... | diku
23/5/2020 11:01 | Expecting a long auction and a massive leap up Tuesday am If for some bizarre reason it’s slow out of the blocks I’ll pile more in lol | john09
23/5/2020 11:01 | Think this deal news timing had already been circulating to those in the know and passing it along...the amount of O trades were very active in the morning...total amount of trades on the buy side yesterday by 10am was 2.5mln (I know it is not accurate on ADVFN) in comparison to the day before of 648k...by 1.36pm yesterday 4mln shares on the buy side and 1mln on the sell side...good luck to all those who made money... | diku
23/5/2020 10:57 | Just a long term hold now Debt is massive but will pay down a chunk, at least interest rates are virtually zero and going nowhere for a year or so JV has saved the day here and a biggie player onboard, reasons to be cheerful, I am holding many other stocks that could receive similar attention or be taken over post CV | ny boy
23/5/2020 10:49 | this guy gets it...dyor diversification23 May '20 - 09:11 - 3890 of 3893 91% freehold property Property plant and equipment valued at 2.4b Net assets after liabilities 957m Brewery accounts for 15% of £200m underlying profit With the reduction in debt and retention of freehold property contributing 85% of its underlying profits when the pubs reopen, its newly expanded brewery that has a faster passage to supermarkets and foreign markets through carlsberg makes the combined group and 40% share far more attractive. It’s difficult to put a value on it, but the brewery in isolation is worth 88p and I would say the freehold property and remaining business is worth at least the same under restricted new operational terms when it returns in the next few months. | latetrain20
23/5/2020 09:39 | I hope nobody is silly enough to buy or sell based on any anonymous posters views. If you are too lazy to do DD and start educating yourself and deal off back off a post you will be extinct v soon and to be honest so what? Too lazy, too gullible or too naive, just steer clear of risk or go to the races (at least you’ll have a nice day out with the missus when you probably (statistically) lose your stake. Least she got an outfit and her hair done rather than a whinge about how corrupt the market is when in fact you were the next mug off the line. | jackbal
23/5/2020 09:11 | 91% freehold property Property plant and equipment valued at 2.4b Net assets after liabilities 957m Brewery accounts for 15% of £200m underlying profit With the reduction in debt and retention of freehold property contributing 85% of its underlying profits when the pubs reopen, its newly expanded brewery that has a faster passage to supermarkets and foreign markets through carlsberg makes the combined group and 40% share far more attractive. 23/5/2020 08:23 | Carlsberg will inevitably buy out Marstons' 40% share in the JV over the next few years. Marstons will sell its smaller, under-performing pubs. Perhaps it will buy City Pub Group Plc.? Thus leaving the company with a fair, mainly freehold pub estate with a sustainable debt to asset value ratio. | lindowcross
23/5/2020 08:07 | You may or may not be right buywell, but I hope no one sold on the back of your post below from a few days back. Another disaster for you.. @"Covid could run for at least 18 months yet. Factor that in and more cash will be needed IMO , no dividend for another 2 to 3 years IMO" | wigwammer
22/5/2020 23:16 | So brewing side of business is worth 90p v currently 66p lol bring on Tuesday PLUS what’s the pub side of the business worth? ... | john09
22/5/2020 22:42 | I made it 88p too . Don’t forget also the cash part, the improved prospects and the standalone bar business ... | john09
22/5/2020 22:39 | so Marstons valued at 580m with 660m shares in issue. I make that a valuation of 87.88p per share roll on Tuesday | latetrain20
22/5/2020 22:03 | A timely announcement and now might be worth taking the lolly IMO | buywell3
22/5/2020 21:15 | Would have been £2.50 I bet | john09 |
