I only bought these because people in my local are impressed I'm a shareholder. My losses are now under £100 (excluding dividends). Being serious I'll sell when these reach 130p !

CC as posted numerous times, I bought for yield in 2011 @93.47, sold a third in 2013 @164.28 and still hold the remainder and happy to do so.

Ok, I have a confession to make. I have no idea where to close or top slice this trade. My average buy price including all costs is 99p, which gives me a dividend yield of 7.5% based on that price but 6.6% based on today's price. My original plan was to keep the shares for 10 years and just collect the dividend and in my head that's pretty much what I still intend to do. But everyone should have an exit price shouldn't they? If I got 140 by the end of the week (rofl) I'd take that and stick the money on LLOY or something similar. But back in the real world I still need to figure out where to close. I think for the moment I'll wait and see. I know I'm not selling at 120 or 125 but I guess if we saw 130 in the next 2 months I'd have to think a little harder. I hope I have a problem to resolve!

Surely not. 3.5% in 22 minutes is going some. Upgraded somewhere? I don't really care. It's going up!

..hmm, longest link ever but there's also a note of Marston's re-entry in Langton's daily newsletter. Marston's haven't been too bad a purchase for me (decent dividends) although my timing wasn't the best. Another +6p and I will start to see clear blue sky

The FTSE 250 has also seen a number of new entrants on the back of the review, with Future, 4imprint Group, Kainos, Marstons, Network International, Paypoint and PPHE Hotel Group all entering the index. hTTps://www.aol.co.uk/news/2019/06/05/easyjet-nosedives-out-of-ftse-100-after-market-reshuffle/?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAM47EiKa_ImlYFGhXWf7T9SDbyYa1Bg7FR1OcjomI805cIMzuu-N-ZOqHyaEzYH1GiREV6zst0alBvGI8eaMn1BrYCy-si2G7_lKdQeexp5bNby87eW-fY4v1ikpZjbWvAoVjfK0Zo6QDIDSxZpRjSkAY_SURoJqWw3sNCKtfyw3

110p with 2.7p divi to come... still a long way from my sell target. Still well below the price after the CW placing.

The most important thing is the stock is going up when the market is going up and not falling when the market is falling. Bit by bit it is dragging itself up. I'm pretty relaxed about this trade now.

MARS forecast to be promoted MARS hasn't quite got enough market cap for automatic promotion but enough companies are being automatically demoted that it now looks reasonably certain as they can't recover enough market cap to avoid automatic demotion and the next company behind Marstons looks unlikely to catch them either. Only reasonably certain though, another week or so to go yet. I think we can see the buying has already started as MARS has been strong the last week against a dire time on FTSE overall

Good to see Mars hold up ex-divi. Personally not too bothered about the 250. When Mars dropped out of it the fortnight before and after was pretty calm. It was the drop putting Mars out of the 250 which was the problem.

As of last Friday MARS requires 108.1 to get into FTSE250 all other things being equal. Since FTSE has had a bad time so far this week it must be really close now.
