If you look at the trades thus far today lots of small sells in the lower 100,s
This is classic SETS manipulation the algorithm program that sets the share price will move higher /lower on the amount of sell trades over the actual buy /sell ratio
This manipulation usually appears when there is a big buy order in the wings at a set price agreement to buy at a price the broker agrees to fill
Manipulation gives the mm bigger gains

That's what investing is all about ,rises and falls a fortnight ago it was falling with it looking like it wouldn't stop you thought 102 was the bottom in fact it went to 91-92 I rarely get the bottom right but I feel that this has now reached the bottom at 92p
RF,s way of running the company like Gordon brown ran GB,s economy proved to be a mistake
He needs to change course
However I do think that even with these problems the recent 92p share price is way to low for this company
Anyway let's see what happens today as I say if it rises again as I think it will ime buying more

Janekane - what's changed your analysis? Fortnight ago you forecast price to go to the 70s. ie at least a 20% drop from here. Quite easy to call a false bottom. I thought there was a floor at 102p which it bumped along at.

Just because you get moderated here, Why target me for a genuine post with question to jeffian.
I have a suspicion that there is a user on here with multiple accounts.
Some people just can't help themselves.

Sometimes when I look the ADVFN MARSTON page on my laptop, I see a bumble bee buzzing around a couple of graphs. Not only on this page but other shares too. Not sure if I need to visit an Optician. If it is meant to be there, can someone explain what is the point of it.

The Chairman jumping ship, the finance director resigning, clear divestiture occurring in the last 12 months under the CEO, a high debt to equity ratio, a ratio of compensation to the CEO being far to high and more highly weighted toward incentive compensation than base compensation, coupled with the fact that operating revenue is high when compared to operating expenses, is it any wonder that MARS is currently not an attractive proposition to a suitable acquirer.

Interested to hear from ex brewery industry Director jeffian, if this situation is common and acceptable within the brewery industry.

Or is Marstons a comparative mess compared to his time at the top within the Brewery industry.

For the record, Berenberg issued a broker note earlier this week on Monday 6th. August

Good news/bad news.

Good news:- Retains HOLD
Bad news:- DOWNGRADES TARGET PRICE (from 115p) to 105p

ALL IMO. DYOR.

phonetically similar words.
it highlights that RCT really has nothing worthwhile to add other than point out forgivable typo's in other people's posts.
another useless post by RCT. Incapable of original thought.

everything RCT writes is so......zzzzzzzzzz...........

Janekane. I get your point about Draymen.
As for jeffian, my question was that given his previous directorship, within an industry that he has made an investment in, his lack of knowledge is bazaar.
So I was asking him nicely if he could use his connections (at any level), to give us more than info or rumours that are easily googled.

I don't think he knows any more or less than any of us however the brewing industry is always awash with rumour and speculation
If you want to know what's going on don't ask directors becouse they can't tell you anything that they haven't already price sencativity and all that

Just ask the Draymen you'll get more information than you realise
Consolidation ,who's not selling who's products ,how busy the trade is at this moment in time Mars have picked up lots of customers using their drays

Jeffian. In the dark. You have not offered any info at all from your ex colleagues/friends within the brewery industry. I have been back through your posts for the last 2 months.
So, what can you tell us.
Any snipetts would be welcome. Please.

jeffian.

Quoting your good self:

"I was a plc brewery Director for years and, as a result, my name appeared as a Director on many of our subsidiaries but the company is run as a whole and the subsidiaries merely maintain separate status for accounting purposes."

As a Director of 3 companies for many years myself, I find it rather easy to call people or meet them for a chat over coffee or a pint and get useful information within the industry I work within.

Unfortunately, not being in the brewery industry I cannot get such information to share from directors within the brewery industry.

I find it bazaar that you are so 'in the dark' about what is happening at Marstons.

How about you just call a few people within the industry and find out some useful information.
Several years as a Director within the brewery industry and this should be no problem to you.

Then we can all benefit from some helpful news, be it good, bad or indifferent.
