06/1/2014 12:28 | I expect the dirs. are happy that they gave themselves "loads" of options at 4 and 6p. How far will the price fall when they exercise them and produce large dilution ? (shareholders wont be applauding so much on the day that happens and the share price tumbles......maybe they should read the accounts) | smithie6

31/12/2013 15:32 | Hi Tiger, Thanks for that. | trav5
31/12/2013 14:43 | Sit tight - MFX are seriously undervalued compared to it's peers such as 1PM as pointed out by analyst Richard Gill in his analysis of MFX in T1PS a month ago ; his words ; "We note that Manx Financial shares are currently trading at only 0.15 times the company's loan book (a common valuation metric for the sector). With peers such as 1PM trading at around 0.5 times the loan book there looks to be plenty of upside, especially given the momentum being seen here now." 0.5 times MFX loan book of £80m should equal market CAP of £40m for MANX and a share price of 39p ( a 4 fold increase ) and that doesn't take into account the current market cap equals MANXs net cash of £10m. LOOKS LIKE I may have to move my target price up as the above valuation was done on the numbers we know. Now they are getting better so my old target of 25p is being raised to 30p. This figure may be raised again in April/may when we see the year end numbers. So even at 16p there is 100% upside to my target which is a far bit below the above target of 39p and that's IGNORING THE 10 MILLION IN CASH. Now we all know why the buyers are moving in. This could hit 20 in the FIRST few days of 2014. Tiger | castleford tiger

27/11/2013 15:50 | blah blah excuses ---- FACTS, imo, if any errors please highlight and I will change "total number of shares obtainable by converting the loans is 110 million !! the dilution is MASSIVE !! ADVFN says that number of shares now is 102M....that is after conversion of some loans to shares. In sept 2012 ...before conversion of loans to shares....MFX had 89M shares." ----- Company LAW (basically the same in all developed countries) UK Company Act 2006 - dirs. shall operate a co. for the general benefit of ALL shareholders (ie. not for special benefits for themselves or their own shares) - share issues and other corp. actions shall treat all shareholders equally, ie. any new shares to be issued pro rata ---- Tiger, you not interested in laws ?!....or should only apply to some people and not to others !! | smithie6

24/11/2013 13:55 | Hi Castleford Tiger The TIPs article a couple of months ago included the following ; "The overall environment for alternative lenders such as Manx Financial continues to look positive. A number of large competitors are pulling out of Manx's markets, for example ING announced at the end of last year that it is withdrawing from the UK leasing industry, a move which is estimated to cause a £1 billion lending shortfall in the market. Other UK listed firms in the industry have been enjoying the benefits recently, such as S&U, Secure Trust Bank, Ultimate Finance and 1pm - the 1pm investment case was outlined on this website in January this year and the shares have since more than doubled." Just a thought but would it be an idea for you as a decent sized shareholder to suggest to Manx that they should approach ING to partner with them in their withdrawal from the UK leasing industry - perhaps even taking on some/all of their £1billion leasing loan book - would be a massive boost to MFX turnover / profitability. Cheers Tom | tom long |
