The acquisition in and of itself may look like (and be) a reasonable idea, however the price paid (hard to quantify the value?) and the lack of transparency concerning the nature of the related parties to the transaction was not encouraging (to put it politely)!

I'm sorry that MTS didn't get the permission they sought. It is not obvious to me that the buy of Alerion was a bad idea: high risk, yes, but not one that risked taking the company down. In my experience, when shareholders try to get rid of the board, whether or not they succeed, the company usually goes under and if it does recover the recovery takes years.

Someone commented on the LSE board about TR-1s not being up to date. That is hardly surprising as the company has not put out a total voting rights announcement after the new shares were admitted to AIM therefore shareholders technically cannot calculate what percentage of the voting rights they have. I just wonder if we might see another MRS RNS this evening sneaked out around 6.25pm when things have wound down for Easter.

apfindley,I did stop posting after I sold and only returned after comments about me from others. I did not post for many days after selling, check back and see my lack of posts after 28th March.

If you're invested then keep up with the events. If you've sold out then why are you still monitoring.Strange.

Share holders voted for no extra share issues before but it didn't stop the BoD buying a toy company for 26.5m shares. Was this vote on share issuing rights or getting rid of the BoD,if it was the latter then it is not good news.Management Resource Shareholders Seek To Oust Chair, Finance Boss

Well in profit now, thanks 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000iq.

A very successful way to invest; short when 12iq buys and double up and go long when he cuts.

Works everytime.

I wonder if SOMEBODY is buying back their position which they sold, before they're forced to release an updated TR1, which should probably have been released many months ago.

basil, just when did you tell us that the BoD were going to shaft holders with 26m new shares? I say things as I see them and since the 26m share issue and new vote on issuing more shares I have lost faith in this share.

There's major trouble here when shareholders want rid of the BoD and the BoD wants to issue more shares against the share holders vote. Issuing 26.4m shares to a BoD friend for a loss making new company looks like an attempt to rig the EGM vote in favour of the BoD, so they can vote for more and more dilution. This stinks imo.

The new shares have eventually been admitted to AIM so presumably they'll be voted in favour of the special resolution at the general meeting to be held at 2 a.m. UK time on Thursday morning. As proxies have to be in at least 48 hours before the meeting, I suspect some shareholders will have missed the deadline. There's still been no statement regarding total voting rights in the company which would be normal practice. I'm beginning to wonder whether Arden are that familiar with the AIM rules themselves. If the board can win the vote on Thursday morning then I see little chance of the requisitioners being able to oust the board at another general meeting. What I'd expect instead is new shares being issued like confetti to pay bills and to reward directors with some new warrants. The MRS soap opera continues.
