03/1/2007 08:42 | Looking good this morning,Someone likes to buy in volume. | balcony
03/1/2007 08:41 | Glad to be of service chester! Hopefully lots more to come. A second 1m trade went through at 43p which has to be a buy - looks like someone's bought £860k this morning? | rivaldo
03/1/2007 08:31 | Thanks to all on here for some very usefull info. Been watching and waiting patiently and bought this am at 43.49 | bootie64
03/1/2007 08:28 | Swift initial move up to 55p plus fully deserved... Thanks Panmures...lol! We've been saying it for ages....let's just enjoy... | scotswhaehae
03/1/2007 08:27 | Rivaldo - Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I pepped a few last week. | chester
03/1/2007 08:25 | On the move now. Million trade gone through. MM's were filling an order. | highcommissiondelhi
03/1/2007 08:24 | And to you GHF. Looks like the 1m share buy at 42.5p did the trick - nice. | rivaldo
02/1/2007 19:59 | Apologies, forgot to wish you both a Happy and prosperous New Year. Not on the boards too much these days so appreciate your postings. Kind regards, GHF | glasshalfull
02/1/2007 19:53 | Thanks anyway guys. Will do some more digging and alert you to any findings. Also thought it looked like Panmure were holding a grudge. Regards, GHF | glasshalfull
02/1/2007 19:31 | Sorry GHF, no info on FD leaving, though agree it did seem to start the slide from the 50/60p range. It seemed to be heading back up until Robbie Burns and followers stop lossed out more recently - that appeared to precipitate the drop to current levels. So it does seem to be largely sentiment which has created what looks like a good buy opp. We'll know more in a couple of weeks when the TS is out. | penpont
02/1/2007 19:22 | Hi GHF, Happy New Year to you. Good to see you here. I wouldn't bet the farm on MMC, but at this price I agree it seems pretty undervalued. No analyst notes I'm afraid. I do find the latest forecasts amusing though. There are 3 Buys, 1 Overweight - and 1 Sell, from Panmure Gordon. Do you think that has anything to do with Panmure's being sacked as MMC's broker in December '05?! Here are the latest forecasts - I've omitted Panmure's as they so obviously have an agenda :o)) 2006 Broker Date Rec Pre-tax (£m) EPS DPS Bridgewell Limited 20-12-06 OWGT 15.70 4.97p 0.80p Evolution Securities Ltd 18-12-06 BUY 14.63 4.44p 0.90p ABN AMRO 18-12-06 BUY 15.65 5.03p 0.84p Collins Stewart 07-08-06 BUY 4.80p 2007 Broker Date Rec Pre-tax (£m) EPS DPS Bridgewell Limited 20-12-06 OWGT 24.20 6.23p 0.88p Evolution Securities Ltd 18-12-06 BUY 21.60 5.15p 0.95p ABN AMRO 18-12-06 BUY 23.78 6.04p 0.88p Collins Stewart 07-08-06 BUY 5.90p | rivaldo
02/1/2007 16:48 | What the hell does it take to move this comatose beast? | kneath
02/1/2007 14:28 | Penpont, Scots and Rivaldo - Seeing you on a thread certainly whetted my appetite to research MMC. My initial impressions are that it does appear undervalued, probably due to sentiments over the weak $ and also the FD resignation in October. The weak $ I can live with but does anyone have any information into the FD going? Been burnt before in similar circumstances so very wary when approaching companies in this situation. Nice institutional and Director buying certainly compensates. Any notes Rivaldo? Regards, GHF | glasshalfull
28/12/2006 12:39 | yeh agree.. needs to get over that 42p area | pobpob
28/12/2006 12:10 | I think it will be for MMC holders pobpob - don't forget the director buying just before the year end either. A break above 42p would be interesting. | rivaldo
27/12/2006 12:25 | lets hope so!! btw merry christmas & happy new year to all mmc holders!! lets hope its a very prosperous 2007!! | pobpob
27/12/2006 10:57 | Just to reiterate, from Citywire pre-Xmas: "Evolution reiterates buy and 57p target for Management Consulting" Hopefully today's buying is the start of a response to that price target. | rivaldo
21/12/2006 13:27 | Edit: The price is all over the place! | nabeel4975
21/12/2006 13:15 | Rivaldo. Nice pre-xmas anal.rec. Needed a bit of cheer on an otherwise dead day. Merry Xmas all and hopefully an electric January. | kneath
21/12/2006 13:15 | re post 239... doubt it was a 'lot of very nervous investors'...my guess is that it was effectively one smallish sale of a few clients' holdings by a private client fund manager...plus 2 stops taken out...10000 and 8000 let's see how MMC finishes today...no change/up is my guess! edit .. well we got back to 'no change' mid-afternoon but the small seller hadn't finished! good luck all! | scotswhaehae
21/12/2006 13:09 | Sounds to me that for once we might have beaten the pros to the punch. | azalea
21/12/2006 12:43 | Nah, more likely MM games pre-Xmas imo. From Citywire today: "Evolution reiterates buy and 57p target for Management Consulting" | rivaldo
21/12/2006 12:43 | those two big buys this morning far outweigh sells i think this is a tree shake to fill more big orders | oxtail2007
21/12/2006 12:36 | Something is starting to smell fishy! | kneath |
