If it does turn out that post 163 was right then we could see a rapid share price recovery...

55p plus area would definitely be in sight for starters imho...

Good luck all!

Scotswhaehae - Thanks! Having held several NasdaQ stocks since April, I am just treading carefully. However, I am very tempted to top-up here if I can see some solid support at 40p

it was 53% in Hl I believe they said but a big European acquisition since then...

so going forward, much less,

and dollar weakness is really only a few percent over recent months...

...so an issue but not to be overstated imho...

Anyone know what % of MMC business is dollar-focused?

rns, just before close.

barc have managed to up thier holding by about 14 mill shares in roughly a month while the price fell.

havn't checked but it would appear that as no large holder declared any sales they have mopped up more or less all of the monthly t/o in mmc shares to the exclusion of any "ordinaries" buying.

begs the question, why did the price fall.

mmc (proudfoot/ parsons) tend to trade heavily in the US. current economic conditions in the US will suit proudfoot's performance improvement consulting offering quite well but mmc are london based and they will get hammered on the exchange rate when converting to sterling

Is it unloved because of a large part of its trading is US related and thus many would be investors are dollar earning nervous ? I realise that its recent EU acquisition might change that in the future but maybe the current price is the right price for now ?

Scots - Good luck with this one, and I hope you're right. Hellava gamble, tho' .....! But then, small caps in general seem a bit iffy at the moment. Maybe the bull market is turning.

Obviously I think its the latter gmmorris but I agree with your comments!

What may not be appreciated by all is the extent to which a few big institutions (Schroders is crucial imho) dominate the 'real' deals in this stock...

We could well see some very large trades going through as any 'lines' clear...

That has certainly happened several times in recent years, followed by big share price rises...

I am optimistic that this scenario will repeat!

Either there's something nasty yet to emerge, or else MMC must be a screaming buy. Must surely be one or the other? I've taken my loss, but WTFDIK?

Re. trades apparently not showing - have you checked PlusMarkets and Virt-X?

Why did the deleted deal of 450,000+ not show in the cumultive column, thereby distorting the volume ratios? Furthermore, why is this BB so quiet?

at last someone has noticed the movement.

i have been looking everywhere for any idea why they have fallen over 1/3rd in 6 months, when due to ineum and in part to salzer they "should" be looking up.

can't see the prob bieng the fd or there would have been more made of it by now and he definately wouldn't be hanging around.

i'm really tempted to wade in but i can't see the bottom, could be 30p or less going by past share price fluctuations.

thanks for post 163 rivaldo...

it doesn't take a genius to spot that this is can be a very volatlie share...

let's hope we will be 'volatile upwards' soonish!

what I found intriguing yesterday that buys were not showing...and I know for a fact there were some...

my guess is that a big institution (schroders?) will emerge as having hoovered up all the 'cheap' shares in an announcement in a few days...

we shall see...

good luck all!

Is the level of the US Dollar also impacting on earnings for this company, anybody have any idea where the bottom might be?

Robbie "frequenttrader" Burns' sold out yesterday on his stop-loss being breached. His readers (and there are quite a lot of them now) are following him out.

I'm wondering whether this is creating a buying opportunity. Watching carefully now.

I would be very nervous given todays fall and price action.
They look cheap on first look, but this is the Company announcement that makes me wonder;
Management Consulting Group PLC said its finance director, Mark Currie, has resigned with immediate effect. The consulting and professional services group said Currie will stay on to assist in certain matters until the end of this year. His duties have been assumed by colleagues in the finance team, it added. No reason for Currie's departure was given. 13/10/2006
