I also note from the RSN that they mention keeping a healthy balance sheet so they are in a position to take strategic opportunities.

You are correct colonelgrim on this year's fund performance, but there are two points I make.Firstly, they focus on three year rolling fund performance.Secondly, I was referring to the excellent three year rise in the share price.

My apologies, I thought that it was a staggering high figure.
My point still stands with regard to the issue of new shares vs not cancelling shares for the purpose of employees bonuses.

Looking at how well the share price has performed over the last three years, the normal period for bonuses, you could argue that as an incentive the scheme is working:)

Least he is saying something about Man Group.
Try putting something relevant to the share in your next post for a change.

...as for director trousering, there is more than enough share count in treasury for Luke and his crim's to trouser for the net ten years!

Your 8 percent figure is incorrect Colonelgrim, otherwise you are measuring apples with pears. Most other companies issue new shares by way of bonuses, therefore diluting the value of your share.By paying them from treasury this does not happen plus you never know, they may cancel another trance like they did a few days ago.

The share buyback has certainly helped on this down day.I wonder what percentage will be held in treasury for the various staff and how much will get cancelled? They actually have not stated that they will be held in treasury, but I assume that they will.I continue to hold for the long term.

I would agree with that Colonel. Pandora Looks to be short. Although we keep getting these relief rallies the general trend in the overall markets is down until sentiment changes.we haven't seen capitulation point. US tech stocks start reporting towards the end of July with the likes of Apple etc, that's when we may see larger market moves particularly in the US depending on these bellwethers fortunes
