"Net new highs A net new high is reached when the net asset value of an investment exceeds the previous peak level in the net asset value (also known as the 'high watermark'). Performance fees [see Performance fee] are levied on net new highs."
reference: ht tps://www.man.com/glossary |
I think that the performance fee is charged to the core investors as standard practice, win or lose we skim them for the risk.
You mention the high water mark, I have lost the data that gave me a highwater step marks, I know that they were graded, something like when the value of the final price reached say: $2.0 we would take something like 30% of the gain, if the value share reached $2.5 we would take 40% of the gain and so on right up through. It was truly amazing to see the skim coming from this fund, but as I say, I have no record of this now, as we have never seen the value of the AHL Diversified come anywhere close to what I remember as the old graded highwater mark.
Sorry,

Yes, thanks.ABC Arb is a pure arb fund, so volatility and price dislocation are good for them. Unlike for Pandora.I understand that Pandora does well in momentum driven markets, which is not quite what we have at the moment since DeepSeek and Tariff.I assume/understand the break-even line on your chart is when the perf fee kicks in. I assume the daily performance of Pandora takes into account the performance fee accrued, if there is one.I asked (you) in the past if there was a high watermark for the performance fee, whether it was on the lifetime of Pandora or calculated on a rolling or even set period. Second time lucky?Thx.Alf |
Sure.Meanwhile ABC Arbitrage's shares keep rising. |
Good morning People, here's the thing, I have decided that the individual that is currently managing Man Strategies 1783, must forthwith select the new basket of items that make up Pandora's daily exposure. He/She will remain in control of these selections, changing them as and when they think fit, Robing, sorry typo, Robyn will not be consulted as to this new edict, just implement my instruction by 09:00 today, oh and good luck, not that you'll need it 1782!

It's not looking good Colonel as since Jan 13 the likes of schroder, Aberdeen and Ashmore have seen a steady rise with the FTSE 100 yet EMG has been peaking and troughing with no sustained rise, |
Good morning Trip, hope you well, hope you don't mind my critique of the rug muncher we have at the helm!
Personally I'm concerned!

Morning.Colonel, we have thr FTSE 100 hitting all time highs and EMG Is hardly moving the needle, I would think maybe down to the poor performance of Pandora results for 31 December 2024 out on 27 Feb I believe ? |
Bull

Sjp good results, affecting the sector in a positive way. |
If I didn't know any better I'd say we've released positive data regarding our end of year results to the inside market! |
