27/12/2006 14:19 | MAMA.....just killed a man.....put a gun against his head....pulled my trigger now hes dead............. | bluenose851
27/12/2006 14:08 | ADVANCE AIM VALUE REALISATION COMPANY LIMITED bought 12million | cambium
27/12/2006 13:36 | Institutional buying announced today presumably bodes well. | saucepan
10/11/2006 07:29 | To avoid any confusion: just to confirm that the "MAMA announcement" today showing under "News", relates to Mama.com (NSC) and not Mama Group PLC (LSE). | saucepan
08/11/2006 11:35 | CR, looks like the brief flurry you engendered has run its course. Dead quiet now until results, I imagine. | ladybird1
07/11/2006 07:48 | The first time this listed it was heavy lossmaking - lost £5 million and was a penny dreadful Background to and reasons for the Offer Over the past three years, Channelfly has followed a strategy of building an integrated group of businesses focussed on the independent music sector in the UK. The Group has had some success in achieving this aim; however the Group continues to face deteriorating market conditions in the music industry as well as a decline in media spending by advertisers. For the year ended 31 July 2002, Channelfly reported a retained loss on ordinary activities before and after taxation of £(5,040,000). The financial statements for the period noted a 'fundamental uncertainty' in respect of the application of the 'going concern basis' and made reference to the need to raise additional working capital. The board of STM understands that Channelfly has not been able to secure any such funding from sources other than as proposed by STM. | holgerl
06/11/2006 20:23 | ladybird 1, no, didn't think the opening of the thread was going to move it but a pleasant surprise. I guess it's pretty undiscovered as there hasn't even been a thread for them despite MAMA being trades as MAMA on AIM from January. The share price is still at that January level too althought they seem to have had an excitement flurry up to nearly 6p between now and then so something, looks like the Stonethrow Media acceptance caused it. Looks like it hardly traded too, until September this year where a few trades seem to have shown. Perhaps an awakening on the results. CR | cockneyrebel
06/11/2006 18:25 | BTW I was a holder of Channelfly (CNF)...and lost money! | tonyx
06/11/2006 18:24 | Blimey....Channelfly are back...but under a different guise again. 21/3/03-Channelfly agrees MBO by STM at 2.175p/share, bid values co at 1.04 mln stg 4/1/06-MAMA offer for STM declared unconditional Adam Driscoll seems the common denominator here-he was CEO of Channelfly Plc before they were bought by STM with whom he was a Director who were then taken over by MAMA and guess who is the CEO??!! lol! | tonyx
06/11/2006 18:07 | The 250k is listed as a 'T' trade on the Java trades download, rather than the ordinary on Mama fron page. Assume it covering the flurry of buys and there is/was still stock available - I did wonder why on such an illiquid stock there wasn't an earlier & more significant move in the price. Whatever. Nice suddenly to see action. Did you think your opening the thread might have such an effect? | ladybird1
06/11/2006 17:33 | 250K buy at the close, I suspect that caused the tick up and MM buy. CR | cockneyrebel
06/11/2006 16:17 | Saucepan - No probs. Good luck with your long position. | hattori_hanzo
06/11/2006 15:05 | Aborted bid might have cost a bit but the director buying has come after the abotion as it were, thus it doesn't seem to have affected his decission to buy. I'm sure they will be listed as exceptionals in the accounts anyway so should be able to see the clean profits. The long line of stock looks like it was keenly snapped up imo, looking at the price it changed hands at - doesn't look like it was dumped at a discount anyway. CR | cockneyrebel
06/11/2006 14:58 | 'Fare' decision Liar! -;) MAMA Added to my watchlist though too, like recent trading patterns and director involvement. Wonder how much the aborted SGP bid cost them though. | egoi
06/11/2006 14:30 | An informative post, HH, thanks. | saucepan
06/11/2006 13:42 | tick up :o) | cambium
06/11/2006 13:40 | Decided to buy the one that we previously discussed on the WGB thread CR but will put this one on the watch list. :O) | liarspoker
06/11/2006 13:38 | The big trades were the clearance by Richard Thompson of at least most of the holding he declared last year. Seems, as noted above, they were snapped up readily enough. Nice to see a number of people also holding this hopefully. The results awaited with interest. | ladybird1
06/11/2006 13:16 | possibly Saucepan, tho I'm not sure the chart means a lot in something so illiquid. There was huge volume on the 25th, which was 43m traded. Assuming they were two way trades that was over 5% moved which I hope will prove to be the end of a line of stock and give the share price scope to move up soon. CR | cockneyrebel
06/11/2006 13:12 | Thanks for drawing to attention CR,and the backround you have provided in the header. I have joined you in a long. Looks like something of an inverted head and shoulders on the chart, too? | saucepan
06/11/2006 13:02 | CR- Cheers put MAMA on my watchlist , will look at opening a position prior to results . Very interesting that GAM are involved I used to speak with Andrew Green who is possibly their most senior Fund Manager . Very switched on Investment house. gv | gvaughan |
