13/3/2017 16:00 | That is a thing of beauty | luckymouse
13/3/2017 14:14 | Nifty move up today? | zcaprd7
13/3/2017 12:39 | You'll have all seen this from earlier in the month, but interesting as to timescale: "Chris Russell, Chairman of Macau Property Opportunities Fund Limited, said, "We believe a recovery in the property market is likely over the next two years - gradually moving from the low to the high-end segment, in which our residential assets are concentrated. "While we are mindful of the uncertainties and risks posed by recent changes in the US administration and interest rate hike policies, as well as any further measures enacted by China's central government to curb capital outflows, the improving market sentiment should create a favourable environment for MPO to divest its assets, and ultimately, return value to shareholders," concluded Chris Russell. " 245p NAV, $18m unrestricted cash (from the same report). | spectoacc
01/3/2017 19:20 | Wynn Resorts is one of the biggest risers in New York today. Good sign. I know they have some Macao exposure, but I don't know what percentage that is of its total business. | galeforce1
01/3/2017 14:21 | Nice move today... Still heading up | zcaprd7
24/2/2017 19:49 | Tiny UT so can't read too much into the closing price, but the long march back up continues. | spectoacc
14/2/2017 19:53 | True @spooky, NAV has a habit of being a moveable feast. You'd fancy it being as likely to tick up as down tho, with recent performance and where it's come from. But a lot priced in with a discount this large. | spectoacc
14/2/2017 15:05 | Go mpo! China fund inflows helping here | luckymouse
14/2/2017 14:59 | If you believe their valuations. I have a small long position. | spooky
14/2/2017 14:46 | What I like about MPO is, it goes up, but is still glaringly cheap :) | spectoacc
06/2/2017 20:52 | Hmm. Came good in the end. With two price monitorings... | zcaprd7
06/2/2017 13:27 | Lazard trimming again? | zcaprd7
27/1/2017 17:10 | Wynn's new mega-resort in Macau Cotai pulls in an astonishing $400m in just the last financial Quarter. Wynn's existing city centre casino in downtown Macau slipped just 10% to $490m, less of a reduction than many may have expected given the new opening in Cotai. All positive news that Macau as an economy and a visitor destination is on the up. CNBC report: ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
27/1/2017 15:53 | Nice NAV uplift. | hugepants
27/1/2017 08:53 | Re today's RNS Quarterly NET ASSET VALUE performance and recent history. Look at the pattern. Three cosecutive quarters of increases - albeit small increases - tell the story:- 27/1/17 +1.3% 4/11/16 +0.9% 3/8/16 +0.3% 11/5/16 -8.11% 3/2/16 -8.7% 9/11/15 -11.4% The Quarterly NAV has been positive for three consecutive quarters now/nine months. Also, coming off a low base, the velocity of increase in quarterly NAV from +0.3 to +1.3 is noteworthy. This is very positive and supports the thesis that the Macau property market has not only bottomed but now turned and heading up. The opening of the new Cotai mega-resorts are pulling in visitors again in increasing numbers and the 17/18 opening of the HK-Macau road bridge will further boost visitor numbers and Macau property values. The gaping discount to NAV of MPO remains an as yet undiscovered honey-pot. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
25/1/2017 16:38 | 66 share UT to get that 142.5p close, but plenty more to come based on Macau/NAV/likelihood of eventual wind-up & capital return. | spectoacc
25/1/2017 16:30 | Strong recovery from the dip down to the end of the year I must say. Tax loss selling from a US holder? | hpcg
25/1/2017 15:27 | Are they really sells coming through today? Quite a significant resistance level approaching... | zcaprd7
13/1/2017 13:15 | Good luck; yes, not seen him return, seems he was active for a few weeks over Xmas only. The good RNS either cleared him out or made him change his mind! | spectoacc
13/1/2017 12:06 | Indeed, but has been grinding up, so I've got some here now... Been waiting and watching for a drop, but the seller seems to have gone? | zcaprd7
06/1/2017 09:20 | Hoped for a bit of follow-through this morning/press, but pretty dead. Never mind, marathon not a sprint. | spectoacc
05/1/2017 20:07 | Nice rise. NAV should be +240p given sterling performance, more if the properties have increased in value. | hugepants |
