bought some at 5p a few months ago as a long-term proxy for the market.
remember this doesnt wind-up until 2017.
big plus point for me (at that time) was that hasnt got any bank debt so can never go bust. therefore really is a long-term option and safer than other splits.

Because when you want to sell them into a falling market (when others do not want to buy) the market makers can, if they wish, insist on your selling only 500 shares at the quoted bid price (which is what the NMS=500 in the table above means), with any extra to be sold at a, naturally lower, price.
