05/11/2024 13:24 | I continue to hold here, I think advice led businesses will be net beneficiaries of the budget. MNG has an advice leg, but it is really a product wrapper and fund provider. | 1jat
05/11/2024 10:48 | Funny how some plonkers have to say how many they've bought, almost like a boast! The credible posters mention if they have added or reduced. As per the post that followed Peter's. | rongetsrich
05/11/2024 08:46 | stock price is down 10% over five years, but the total shareholder return is 50% once you include the dividend. And that total return actually beats the market return of 27%.It might not be a loved stock but the fundamentals for investors return is there in the statistics. | williams66
04/11/2024 10:13 | Also I added further amount today. Good long term income player with potential of market consolidation in future. Planning to add further during next year.. GLA | tornado12
31/10/2024 18:20 | Stoic is a nice description under the circumstances but my nearest and dearest would use the term pig headed. I got the nip way back with Tulloch and the debacle that was Aviva as it was. Just glad this time round I stuck to my guns but did add Abdn today 11% couldn't not at the time. Best of luck to you We are going to need it | jubberjim
31/10/2024 18:06 | Well it certainly looks like your stoic patience in largely abstaining from investing in recent months and staying in cash is being rewarded currently Jim. | spawny100
31/10/2024 17:40 | Well balanced or not the market is in its own thrall and there is now the real possibility that this could hit 180 Market is getting into full on panic ala Truss / Kamikazes debacle Just good to be still solvent but very few participants hence the fall Confidence is shot to pieces. Good luck | jubberjim
31/10/2024 15:59 | Looking to add further here as MNG has extremely well balanced portfolio both in and outside UK. I dont know how low this can go, as the wider financials are looking at the gilt market and how US election could influence future confidence.. Not easy to read (as usual) | tornado12
31/10/2024 13:40 | Had a small holding here but added to it today @ around 1.95. | starpukka
29/10/2024 18:58 | Picked up a chunk at 196.45p this afternoon. Suspect we may get a relief rally tomorrow following the budget. Either way I can live with a 10% yield. | 2wild
29/10/2024 12:06 | Moving into 10% divi range. We will see which way this and all UK financials react after grim reaper reeves budget tomorrow. Seems this useless government wants to spend its way without a clear benefit calculation. The road to destruction IMHO cannot wait to be put out of my misery ! | tornado12
29/10/2024 12:06 | I wonder how Rachel Reeves is feeling ahead of the budget. Don't think she will be feeling as much trepidation as most of us but she will be feeling some pressure. Just hope she doesn't nause it and me up. Off to Norfolk tomorrow early doors Catch up later | jubberjim
29/10/2024 10:00 | The whole market is suffering Labour pains | gbh2
29/10/2024 08:36 | Well that’s the 200 gone. Where next? | bbd2
24/10/2024 22:18 | I think I’ll start the yump investmemt fund by taking all my mates’ money, investing it into all these 10% yielders and paying them 7%. Kerching ! | yump
24/10/2024 17:52 | Still hoping to get in below 188 and after the performance of Abdn after their update not going to change it (Got 3384 @ 146.85 there) 10% plus return not to be sneezed at hence Phnx on my shopping list also but very troubled markets ahead of budget and election in the states. Tiny steps Good luck everyone | jubberjim
24/10/2024 16:39 | 200 pence for c20 pence a year income is a bargain.. :o) | laurence llewelyn binliner
24/10/2024 13:51 | Seems a bit of a bargain near 200p. Added a few today. | its the oxman
20/10/2024 08:52 | I think the US Hedge Funds see the UK as a short risk off against overvalued US Stocks, easy as we don't have nowhere near the interest. Even UK ISAs are mainly invested in US stocks. | isis
20/10/2024 08:30 | Disagree. They should buy good value, proportionately so. Average P/E on UK stocks is less than half, Is that because they aren't good? or it is the money follows and makes them so? To prove the point then why are so many UK Companies being bought out by other Overseas one's - not hard to work out eh? | isis
17/10/2024 13:38 | Rossi really parroted the Govt lines leading the stability. M&G strategy is to built out the Asset Mgmt business outside the UK with new launches in the Gulf coming soon. A large part of recent PruFund performance has been on the back of investing outside the UK - look at the Asset Allocation charts to see how the UK allocation has fallen. I am sure MNG will gladly invest in the UK if it can get good returns, but as a potential client they should be investing for the best returns where they can find them and not favouring UK. | 1jat
17/10/2024 11:06 | 6.60p dividend tomorrow. | skinny
16/10/2024 09:25 | ABDN UP today. This will be reversing trend now...also int globally coming down including UK.. | action
15/10/2024 12:39 | Or even sequitur possibly... | theinquisitiveone
15/10/2024 12:22 | sequitor sequestering is the labour party manifesto :-) | adejuk |
