That's the thing Pete, do you give them the tools to find the answer and develop themselves, or do you just tell them the answer!

But the header doesn't show on the app - unless I'm missing it?(I'm not defending those who cannot be bothered to do a simple lookup of dividend amount and dates themselves)

What does Google say? Or the company web page say? Off hand I don't know so you could maybe turn this around?

Are you reading in to renewables? Worth a punt as whilst the money tree has already provided £630m the tree doesn't hold the real money required to unfxck the energy market. The north east nimbys have quickly been shut down, so the plan is in progress.MNG is solid and a great payer, but the fact it only pays twice a year has made me shop around for similar payers spreadsheet out throughout the year.

Yeah, but on other days, you make more than the dividend. Not really sure of your point - the price varies, the divi varies much much less, and also ends up in cash somewhere which you can spend, which daily price changes don't.

Ron

I have discounted the budget that everyone is getting in such a tizz about.

It will happen and it won't be pretty but until that day in the Commons none of us have any idea.

I have no idea where the share prices will go

My preferred move here at MNG is to still buy at 180 as still a fair few months until the final dividend.

With Phnx I had sold at 572 and at 580 it looked like it was going to and through 600

Just shows how scared the markets are and I believe this will be the case until after the Presidential Elections.

For that reason I will drop anchor and enjoy the calm before the storms gather force.

Just fishing around from mow until November

Jibber, wasn’t expecting PHNX drop today, from trends I think it will recover a fair proportion tomorrow, then further if the Fed does 0.5%.
Me, I’m going to top up MNG after XD drop to complete.
I think Reeves will force us all to use our £500 dividend allowance soon enough, I can see the ISA getting a cap placed on it.

Does anyone here use a broker that rents your shares to short them? Curious to know how it actually works. It looks good on paper, but not really convinced MNG would be worth it for a broker to short? Also if a share is wrapped can it be shorted?

You're Ted Rogers or Dusty Bin from that insane 1-2-3 show a few years ago.

Don't worry Skinny, I'm off anyway - don't want my posts approved/not approved by anyone, prefer to post what I like, Bye.

This is bizarre - afaik there isn’t a Jethro Tull track called “Jethro-Tulling”, unless thats in a parallel universe generated by smoking too much weed ;-)

Even though this news is from 22nd August, let's hope that Kerrigan Procter, formerly of L&G, is successful in his new position:

Since M&G re-entered the Bulk Purchase Annuity market in September last year, it has agreed three buy-in transactions bringing sales to almost £1 billion in total. M&G’s strategy is to the leverage the strength of its business model to selectively agree BPA deals to fully offset the run-off of the annuity book, and increase long-term capital generation.

You do seem to spend an inordinate amount of time responding to my views on various shares.
