|Current trading and outlook statement was brilliant and yet Numis downgraded to add from buy.Beggars belief!!
Current trading and outlook
Trading in the new financial year has started stronger than expected as the Group continues to grow market share of its key brands in the UK and other, newer markets, at margins in line with expectations. A strong order book, new business wins and a full pipeline of new product launches means that our growth forecasts for this year are well underpinned and we look forward to the remainder of the year with confidence.|
|Succumbing to profit taking...another chance to add soo imo.|
|Another good day!|
|"Technical" reasons are part of the disclaimer on the broker forecasts IMO "One or more of the brokers quoted may make a market in the shares or be broker to the company and therefore receive a fee. This means they may have a conflict of interest."|
|In the mean time LUCE gone up a bit more!|
|Numis downgrade is for technical reasons, whatever that means.|
|I'll be hanging on to my LUCE for a good cpuple of years yet! won't be mega quick share price 2 or 3 bagger but sure gradual up trend imo!|
|Yes, hopeless aren't they. They're not so clever themselves! I sold my numis shares the other day due to their poor share price etc performance! ha ha!|
|MONDAY BROKER ROUND-UP
Luceco: Numis downgrades to Add with a target price of 220p.
these muppet brokers really do make me laugh - downgrade after those results, a chimp could do a better job.|
|Good, solid results. Let's see what the market thinks.|
|Homes and businesses will have to spend more than £1 billion replacing halogen lightbulbs before an EU ban takes effect next year.
It is estimated there are about 480 million incandescent lightbulbs in British homes and 100 million in business premises and they must be replaced with LED alternatives before September 2018.
Ray Molony, editor of Lux Review, the official publication of the Lighting Industry Association, said: “We estimate that at least 80 per cent of UK businesses have some form of halogen or incandescent light source within them.
“Currently only 10 per cent of lightbulbs in use globally are LED, so it’s very unlikely that the majority of buildings are going to be completely free of incandescent or halogen light sources.”
With the average LED lightbulb costing more than £2 it will push the replacement bill over the billion pound mark, according to research by V-TAC, an LED lighting company.
Dinesh Sajnani, co-founder of V-TAC, said: “Many consumers are unaware of the restrictions, which will make the use of halogen bulbs illegal.”
The cost of replacing halogen lightbulbs would soon be offset by the increased efficiency of LED lighting, typically saving an average household about £70 per year, Mr Sajnani said.
Halogen bulbs use a similar amount of energy as traditional incandescent lightbulbs and generally last for less than two years. Old-style incandescent bulbs have already been phased out across Europe.|

|Tipped in March Issue of Master Investor magazine -
"At the current price of 173.75p Luceco shares are off highs of 196.5p seen just
after Christmas but remain well ahead of the IPO price of 130p. Nevertheless, I believe that the market does not yet fully appreciate the growth prospects here. Market forecasts for the current year put Luceco shares on an earnings multiple of 17.5 times, falling to 14.2 times in 2018. What is most attractive here in valuation terms is the price to earnings growth (PEG) ratio, which for 2018 stands at 0.6 times. Assigning a PEG ratio of 1 to the shares (considered fair value for a growth company)would see a price of 284p by the end of next year (assuming forecasts are met), and implies 63% upside from the current price."|
|Yep, all looking good imo.. may get divi news as well.|
