15/12/2017 13:57 | 50% of the business is wiring accessories. The offer document stated the significant influence of the price of copper on financial performance. Copper price has gone from $2.56 to $3.06 per pound in last six months. Something had to give. Hornby has a 12 month lock-in that expired at the end of October 2017. Not sure that sale in November is that suspicious under the circumstances. EPIC (controlled by Giles Brand) retain 24.3% and Giles Brand owns 5.5% pa so combined 30%. | mammyoko
15/12/2017 13:36 | P/E of 14/15 is fair value probably, but Luceco now have damaged their own reputation, which puts a question mark over the management. I'm inclined to wait a bit longer, and see if i can pick some up at around £1. Luceco is also a case in point of why I never go for new issues! | dvb99
15/12/2017 13:31 | The difference in calculation was by 3.5million. So you would expect the share price to fall by 20% not 45%. Should see a 10% rise atleast from here. Just my opinion. | torres10
15/12/2017 12:59 | Some large sells have been worked through. | tsmith2
15/12/2017 12:59 | Can you stick it up on here? | tsmith2
15/12/2017 12:43 | I always get in too soon! However Graham Neary on Stockopedia seems to be positive, 'Conclusion I'm going to put this on my personal watchlist now, because I liked the company when I analysed it before, and the only thing which put me off was the optimistic valuation. This might be back in value territory around here.' I recommend subscribing. I will hold and see how it turns out. | runthejoules
15/12/2017 12:08 | £1.25 to buy now . Like I said, let them drop | john09
15/12/2017 11:46 | Did he know on 24 November - 3 weeks ago? seems like he may have known...... 24 November 2017 Luceco Plc ("Luceco" or the "Company") Director Dealing Luceco, the manufacturer and distributor of high-quality and innovative LED lighting products, wiring accessories and portable power products, announces that on 24 November 2017, Mr John Hornby, Chief Executive Officer of the Company, sold 2,000,000 ordinary shares of GBP0.0005 each in the Company ("Share(s)") at a price of 234.53p per Share (the "Transaction"). 15/12/2017 11:05 | Numis did the IPO. Best of a bad lot | mammyoko
15/12/2017 10:50 | Assuming the £13.2m adjusted PAT is accurate (and given the auditors will already be in there doing interim audit testing and pre-close work, we ought to be able to assume that for now), then using 160.8m shares in issue from Stocko, gives a historic p/e of around 14 at current price levels. Given they have some control over their input costs due to their China manufacturing facility and assuming the CEO can be believed about H2 FY18 margin recovery implies that this could be a one-off stock write-off making them look cheap. Of course, if the CEO is a complete crook then all bets are off. But it would seem that he still has plenty of skin in the game (20% of shares). This is a long-standing business, albeit it has moved into new markets. Some of their communications seem clumsy and clearly their finance department isn't fit for purpose. This is selling widgets so can't see any revenue recognition issues and revenue is growing. | mammyoko
15/12/2017 10:49 | Yes agree with those points. Who floated LUCE? hopefully not Zeus. | meijiman
15/12/2017 10:46 | The similarities with UPGS are both have recently IPOd ie in the last year, Both are strong growth stories and both came out with shock news | john09
15/12/2017 10:39 | John Hornby should be investigated for insider dealing. I'd say he knew what was going on and then dumped a load - can't trust him now. Then again......perhaps he's just a very lucky guy (cough cough)! All imo | sphere25
15/12/2017 10:34 | No it isn't -completely different. UPGS warned of 2018 being flat on 2017. | meijiman
15/12/2017 10:31 | Don’t catch a falling knife. Day low was sub £1.20 . This is not dissimilar to what happened with UPGS they dropped to £1.15 on the day. 80p now.... | john09
15/12/2017 10:20 | If the PAT really is 13.2m with 160.8m shares in issue then that puts these on an historic p/e of around 14 at the current levels. | mammyoko
15/12/2017 09:46 | TS2 Numis now estimating eps of 8.2p, 10.5p and 12.5p for 2017, 18 & 19, having reduced by 20%. | stuffee
15/12/2017 09:39 | seems like a huge huge over reaction here. What are revised estimates EPS wise. | tsmith2
15/12/2017 09:32 | He's down best part of 25m himself this morning. Ouch | mammyoko
15/12/2017 08:59 | He's still got over 31m shares with a six month lock-in | mammyoko |
