A bit off topic, although LUCE is a 5% investor in Eenergy Group (EAAS) and mentions the positive prospects of company in today's results, I suggest EAAS is a company that definitely deserves consideration for long term growth investors. It is a small company with the world ahead of it and with its recent £25M inflow of funds and tie up with NatWest Bank, I see this multi-bagging over the next few years.

Do your own research but I think you will like what you see.

Doubt it. Halfords deals with the public, LUCE is commercial. But what do I know, LOL.

This stock has over the years a few times been mentioned as a potential long term compounder in research pieces when investors have been looking for long term winners. The huge jump (and subsequent fall) in share price during COVID is what has thrown investors. But i still think that this thing is on track to be exactly that, because it has all the quality aspects to do it and astute management. I plan to hold this for a while if these facts don't change.

What do holders here think about the impact on LUCE of fluorescent lamp phase outs under ROHS compliance will be?

hxxps://www.cef.co.uk/blog/2928-which-fluorescent-lamps-are-being-phased-out-in-september-2023

The key part is that they will no longer be manufactured but you can still buy them while stocks last.

So vendors will have done last time buys ahead of those last time builds. But anything going through at the moment will need to be newer LED types.

Looks positive to me. Any other views?

Following the AGM, we have contacted the major shareholders who had not supported the Resolution to understand the reasons for their vote against the proposal and to continue a transparent and constructive dialogue on this topic. The Board will continue to engage as appropriate with those shareholders regarding their views in this area.

The Board continues to consider that the ability for the Company to buy back shares is in the best interests of all shareholders, particularly in light of the current share price levels, which presents an opportunity to generate attractive returns for all shareholders through allocating capital to buying back ordinary shares.

LIBERUM
Shares attractive as returns can improve significantly The shares look attractive to us, trading on around 11x 2024E PER and a free cash flow yield of around 9% (2024E). Luceco continues to be a strong leader in its industry and the scale of its own facilities in China is very hard to replicate. It continues to have scope for further acquisitions in adjacent products, like the recent purchase of SyncEV, enabling Luceco to take an indemand product and offer it through its existing distribution channels. We maintain our 155p target price, and our Buy rating, as we price in the higher margins in our model. 155p per share is based on 1.2x EV/Sales (2024E), which discounts an operating margin of 12%. This level looks achievable to us, given that Luceco should be able to improve margins beyond this level. The shares trade on under 7x peak earnings.

They’re just passing on extra copper costs to customers as a surcharge, so it should make no difference.

However, lower overall product prices will result, so stimulating sales. Lower copper prices are good.

A lot of why LUCE’s price has fallen is investors overly worrying about high copper prices, so lower copper prices must be positive for LUCE’s share price.
