You put in a price, and if it can't be achieved in a few minutes, then it fails. This is with Interactive Investor.

ansc, you may wonder why I sold. (Not all actually). Overall, I find the company's statements confusing, due to conflicting statements. Last March there was a very positive AGM statement, but then in June we learnt of a loss in H1 due to contract delays. When the AGM statement was made, there must have been some clue of delays. Then in September, news of delayed sales. In 2018 the Chairman retired to become President. In retrospect, I should have sold then; a President for such a small company?

I used a fill or kill order, so if the price was lower I wouldn't have sold.

Why didn't the 10.64k shares sold this morning drop the price? Market Manipulators at work again no doubt.

I enjoy watching this one go up and down, especially on thin volumes. Next week should be very interesting. My guess is about break even for 2019 and comments on the 2020 year "started well, very encouraging" but not promising galloping or trading at new levels. Not sure if its worth a flutter, time will tell.

9,750 shares sold this morning and the share price is dropped like a stone ..... buyers beware, Market Manipulators in operation!

Tiger is there a recognisable cycle? Having held the shares for about 10 years there was a share price peak at around 180p and talk of trading at a gallop but any selling window was absolutely tiny. As you say we should get some clarity this week on why the shares have spiked.

That’s an interesting slant on it but why sell at this part of the cycle?
Those eps figures look very low to me.

The only reason to sell now would be if they have little visibility going forward.
Also are the directors holding big enough stakes to make this a route out?
Was there much buying?
Let’s see what this week brings.

The recent share price movement looks very suspicious. If I had to guess I would say the company is in bid talks. The industry background if anything is negative with Hitachi announcing redundancies at its train building factory in County Durham. The directors are elderly and will want a smooth succession at some point. I hope I'm right about the possible bid talks as LPA has not been my greatest investment over the years and an exit would be very welcome.

I thought the delayed orders resulted in FY 19 reduction from 3.0p to 0.7p and FY 20 increase from 7.0p to 7.8p.You're feelings are often prophetic so good luck. :-)

CT,

On what basis do you think that EPS will be double Finncap's 2020 forecast of 7.8p (up from 0.7p this year).

There's been no contract announcements since their note in September.

Annual results announced on 24th January last year (previous year on 23rd) so we shouldn't have much longer to wait.

3% yield and should make 15 p eps this year
Still far too cheap
Last year was a year when delays ( not lost orders ) caught us out.
However you cannot do much about such issues.
Current year should be a cracker

Still happy to hold, statement soon, not sure why the buying, hope it is because positive news leaking not just MM's levelling their books, however because of the spread it is difficult to trade.

Quote is 93 / 98, however easy to sell above bid price in quantity, but very difficult to buy in quantity.
Perhaps MM's want to balance their books before next announcement?

Sp being firmed on miniscule volume tends to make me feel a tad uneasy.
