31/12/2019 11:51 | With no trading update issued so far (last year's released on 5th November), I think we should err on the side of caution. But with this morning's little spike, you never know. Whatever, this one will remain in my bottom draw to await better times. | ansc
31/12/2019 09:52 | Think we all agree last year to end Sept was poor. What's the view for EPS current year tiger | castleford tiger

02/11/2019 12:26 | CT, Although I'm not a shareholder here, I've followed LPA with interest for quite a while, waiting for the right moment (imo) to invest. I believe you are a shareholder, and wondered if you have ever discussed the implications of Brexit with them on a one to one basis at an AGM or by phone. If you have, I would be very interested in their response. My current expectation is that the right wing extremists in the ERG are going to get their way and we are going to crash out of the EU, either in January or end of 2020. So the question that to me possibly defines the future of LPA is what work they have in Europe, and in other countries were they have taken work based on the terms of an EU trade agreement as a member of the EU,which would have to be carried out after a "crash out". It comes down to, imo, whether or not a potential imposition of tariffs is covered in the contracts by a force majeure clause or, a payment variation clause to protect them. Hope you can help with this one! Regards. | muckshifter

08/10/2019 15:47 | Can I draw your attention to these please......... 2019, which stated that the first half of the current financial year would be affected by contract delays, the Group confirms that these delivery schedules, which are outside of the Group's control, continue to be delayed, largely as a result of corporate activity within customers' supply chains. As a consequence, approximately GBP3 million of revenues will be delayed beyond the Group's year end date of 30 September 2019, which will negatively affect the anticipated outturn for the current financial year. It should be emphasised that none of these contracts have been lost, they have simply been substantially delayed and will be delivered in future periods. AND Further to the announcement in May, and as previously reported in the Interims Statement, the current financial year (Y/e 30 September 2019) remains as challenging as previously reported with continued customer delays to certain contracts, which the Board are of the view will now be shipped subsequent to the year end. These contracts have not been lost, but the sales will be delayed to later financial periods, negatively affecting the full year results. However, the factory load for the new financial year commencing 1 October 2019 will benefit from these delays and the new contracts, so the prospects for the new financial year and the longer term are significantly improved, pointing to a strong recovery. Peter Pollock, Chairman of LPA Group, commented: "Order entry and prospects remain very strong, and whilst the continued delays to deliveries, moving them from the current period to next year, is disappointing, coupling this delayed output to the new contract wins will increase the factory load and accelerate recovery in the new financial year and secure the Group's position in the longer term. The cost structure has been adjusted reflecting the new reality and the Board looks forward with increasing confidence." So we have 3/4 million in revenue to come in current year not the last one. Plus they tell us we are very busy with new contracts etc and yet an EPS forecast of 7p is on the table. The 4 million of sales which is 20% of sales and about 1m gross profit should come ON TOP OF CURRENT TRADING. I was looking for MORE THAN DOUBLE the forecast figure. Tiger | castleford tiger
08/10/2019 11:50 | The broker is finncap..you can access their research for free once you register. The last note from Sept gives an EPS forecast of 7.8p for year to Sept 2020 and a DPS figure of 3.0p. I'm sure these are safe numbers which will be exceeded. Got to put into context ...the finncap figure for 2019E to be reported on is only 0.7p ..the company made a loss of 1.2p at the interim stage. May explain why the share price is knocking around 80p | meijiman
08/10/2019 11:16 | OOHH dear me.........that would not please the tiger. We made 12.30 /14.40/14.34 in the last 3 years with a very low EPS for year just gone due to delays. So infact we have 2 years earnings possibly condensed into 1 year and you only get 7.6p ? I was looking for that in the first half!! Thoughts tiger | castleford tiger
08/10/2019 09:44 | Im seeing EPS of 7.6p and DPS of 3.05p for next year...year just starting. Can someone remind me whether LPA is wanting Bombardier or Hitachi to win the main UK orders...in short which do they have most exposure to?? | meijiman

28/9/2019 08:18 | This has been a company I've watched with interest for quite a while. During the last three years in particular I've wondered how orders with such as SNCF in Europe and perhaps countries in the Far East which have trade deals with the EU, would be affected if we leave the EU without a deal and hence no transition period where tariffs would be avoided. The implications of a possible no deal brexit, which would trash our own economy imo, with the possibility that much of the delayed work where it is outside the UK may become subject to tariffs etc. have kept me away from investing here. | muckshifter
28/9/2019 07:46 | Market cap circa 10m and we had property valued over 4m plus plant at over 3m Whilst I see maybe no earnings in year gone we should be back at 1.5m in current year? views please tiger | castleford tiger
28/9/2019 07:32 | Morning under 10000 shares traded yesterday morning resulted in a 13% drop? Hard to tell but looked like buying later unless they were delayed sells. We know year gone was poor but the delayed sales are due in new financial year starting next week. I have plenty but might have to get involved if it drops much further as I see 200p as my target. Redmayne had these tipped and this may of broken a stop loss and as such forced so sellers. A confused tiger | castleford tiger
