05/8/2020 08:49 | Quite an amazing update. Now on my watchlist !
The Board is pleased to update on current trading having now re-opened all 165 sites in the estate, with the exception of Cosy Club in Leicester which opens this Friday. Like for like sales have been -1.7% over the period from 4 July, when our phased re-opening commenced, through to 2 August. Whilst these are still early days, we are encouraged by the initial strength of our trading performance to date and remain confident the Company will emerge strongly from this period. Loungers will next update the market in late September when we publish our preliminary results for the year ending 19(th) April 2020. The Board hopes to be in a position to recommence providing fuller guidance to the market at this time. | masurenguy
05/8/2020 08:41 | Wow, what an incredible performance. According to the FT the pub/restaurant sector was running at 60% of normal sales at 26/7 vs c-2% here. Must be due to the suburban locations and all day offering versus over-reliance on the night time economy.
And this is before eat out to help out! | alphabeta4

23/4/2020 14:07 | "Combined with its existing cash and loan facilities, the company said it will have funds of around £31mln, which it estimated was enough to maintain the business for around 46 weeks of closure.
In a note on Thursday, analysts at the company’s house broker Peel Hunt retained their ‘buy’ rating and 200p price target on the stock, saying they believed Loungers “ should emerge from the [coronavirus] crisis in a position to resume its leadership…of the licensed retail sector”.
