Well if the co puts out an RNS saying Chime isn't such a threat, this would rebound sharpish.

The $2.50 per month service is not comparable with Loopup - it only provides 1:1 calls. $15 per month service is more comparable with Loop Up £15 per month. However, it remains to be seen how useful it is in the UK as seems North America focussed at the moment.

Amazed that the drop is all to do with Amazon but that appears to be the case.I just happen to think that this kind of competition is good for LOOP and other competitors.

most people will pay US$2.50 a month for Amazon or the FREE service

Not necessarily. Video conferencing is more about the frustration free / quality of the service. It's not as if Microsoft (skype), apple, google, Cisco and others haven't been doing it for ages and Loopup have grown fast despite them.

I'd wait for the Amazon Chime reviews before coming to any conclusions as to their future. Also, the pricing doesn't seem that much different - $15 per month vs £15 per month.

Why? Amazon doesnt need to they have better technology and loads of servers and switches

They will eat LOOPS lunch dinner and breakfast

In a few years LOOP will warn and striuggle and end up a 2p share price

Any chance Amazon might run the slide rule over this one? Could be worth a punt.

Amazon has opened a new front in its battle for enterprise applications against Microsoft, Google and Cisco.

The giant has unveiled Chime – a cloud-based unified voice, video and chat communications service targeting corporate IT as much as end users.

Chime will, Amazon claims, eliminate common frustrations found in video-chat meetings.

Participants can join meetings simply by tapping a button - no need for PIN - Chime maintains a roster of call attendees, and Chime will synchronise across desktop and mobile. The planned service will work on Windows, Mac, iOS and Android.

Amazon has promised “high-quality video, voice, chat and screen sharing.”

With an eye on corporate IT, however, Amazon said Chime would work with Microsoft’s ubiquitous Active Directory for access and identity control.

Amazon is planning three editions – Basic, Plus and Pro – that will store message histories – up to 1Gb per user - with a number of attendees from two to 100.

Basic is free for the first two people and features chat and chat rooms, Plus is priced at $2.50 a month and will add screen-sharing and work with corporate directories, and Pro at $15 a month will include video meetings for up to 100 people.

Looks finished indeed. Glad i didnt buy. Phew! Will take off my list. Goodnight midnight.

Surprisd its not already under the 100p float price

Sorry to see LOOP getting whacked, but news of Amazon Chime launch 2 days ago is bound to worry investors. I still hold LOOP, but reduced.

This is quite a fall. Is there a % trigger where the company has to make a statement either confirming or denying that there is inside info out there?

This co. has a good product, albeit in busy market, but it seems as though it was valued too highly at IPO, based on forward EBITDA, fair enough, but did not take into account the crowded nature of competition, and its market prescence relative to its own scale!

Looks like a typical AIM deramp. I don't know how many times I've seen this but it's fairly often I'm afraid.I always thought competition was good and that every investment came with certain risks which, in this case, have been, listed in the floatation document. Normal procedure by the way!The share price may go lower, who knows but now is not the time to panic imho.
