14/2/2021 18:45 | I have been trying to establish where the figures came from. I think it is this. On the balance sheet as at 31 Dec 2019, Borrowings (current liabilities) were £1,700,000 (a) Borrowings (Long term) were £12,750,000 (b) Thus Total Borrowings £14,450,000 (c) = a+b Less Cash Balances £3,000,000 (d) Net Debt £11,450,000 (e) = c-d So, balance sheet as at 31 Dec 2020 (yet to see) Net Debt £700,000 (e) Cash Balances £12,100,000 (d) then All Borrowings = £12,800,000 (c) If my figures are correct, then they still have borrowings. When you see the headline figure of net debt £700,000 it might make you think they have little debt. If they were to pay a further £10m out of cash to reduce the borrowings, cash would drop, by £10m, borrowings would drop by £10m, but the net debt would remain the same at £700,000. Hope I am on the right lines but not sure of the validity of this net debt figure. | bluebird12
14/2/2021 12:07 | I don't get this. Can't be the mm's at work. | yump
14/2/2021 12:06 | Thank you. I will take a look. Also, gross cash £12.1m with net debt £0.7m..... Does this imply actual debt of £12.8m, down from £14.5m in 2019? There is a lot of chatter on forums about paying down their debt. Is that based on a misunderstanding of the phrase "net debt"? | the millipede
14/2/2021 11:54 | Some good posts on this one on LSE forum | currencytrader1
14/2/2021 11:37 | The two halves of last year are interesting. In revenue and EBITDA terms H1 was definitely stellar, with H2 looking if anything slightly worse than 2019. But cash generation seems more equally split, roughly £4m each half. Anyone have any idea why? | the millipede
