Bullish re lookers or just the general motor trade business ? Their seems to be big uplift in volumes on used car sales but lack of forward stock across most brands now . Hopefully that doesn't last too long cos the only way to make a used car is sell a new one !

Possibly world wide chip & electronics shortage. Range Rover UK have halted production. New cars simply not available to sell from many manufacturers.

Chunky purchase of 667500 shares this morning at 71.95pence (£480266). Bodes well. Pendragon up slightly this morning too. Motor trade flat our at the moment (I have a Vehicle Sourcing Brokerage). All dealers are very busy. April is busier for us than March, which is unusual, but pleasing! There obviously won't be the level of new registrations this month as last, but new and used will 'I predict' be comfortably ahead of forecasts'. My only concern going forward is factory order delays for new vehicles. Ford Commercials pushed back to Q4 and Transits Feb/March. BMWs being pushed back and many others. Lookers are multi-franchised and this will help. It will also continue to push the prices and demand of used stock up! Onwards and upwards!

Post not mine from 10 yrs ago when Tony Bramhall bought in when he basically stopped a takeover at a bid if substantially under 80p .Big purchase by Tony Bramall....hopefully his confidence is not misplaced, and the share price will respond positively tomorrow! The Board of Lookers plc ('Lookers' or 'the Company') was today notified that on Friday 19 August 2011, the family interests of Mr Tony Bramall, a non-executive director, acquired a further 3,800,000 Lookers ordinary shares of 5 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") at 50 pence per share and on Monday 22 August acquired a further 93,000 Ordinary Shares at 50.75 pence per share.Mr Tony Bramall and his family interests are holders of 89,337,637 Ordinary Shares representing 23.29% of the existing issued share capital of the Company. The issued share capital of the Company at 22 August 2011 is 383,661,508 Ordinary Shares.

Interesting holding 70 with what looks like a lot of profit taking. Maybe someone is building a stake then all they need is to pick up the Bramhall shares and just give same money to rest of us rather than usual leap after announcements

BMW Uk allocation now completely sold out for Q2 and any sold order now placed won’t be delivered until Q3 at the earliest.

The job across all manufactures for New Cars is on fire 🔥, profit levels have never been so high across the industry.

Cazoo and Cinch think that sending a man in a little white van to deliver a customers vehicle with one car in the back to anywhere on Mainland Uk and then returning back to base empty makes sense.🤷995;‍♂️

We have a network of dealerships throughout the UK where the customers come to us, we also have a huge price advantage over used car supermarkets given our preferential access to the FranchiseS we represent and can access used cars direct from these manufactures.

Something doesn’t make sense LOOKERS VALUATION £279M AND British online used-car dealer Cazoo has announced it will list on the New York Stock Exchange in an upcoming IPO, with the company valued at $7bn.

Sharecast News) - Liberum hiked its price target on car dealership chain Lookers to 90p from 45p on Monday, keeping the rating at 'buy' after a "much stronger-than-expected" first-quarter trading performance.

"This combined with the ongoing benefits of the restructuring lead to a 97% increase to our lower end of the range FY21E adjusted profit before tax forecast," the broker said.

"The new management team is performing well and we expect the consumer environment to be supportive of the ongoing recovery."

Liberum said that while FY20 results and a refinancing are still pending, it does not expect material issues with either.

Lookers said last week that it was expecting annual profit to be "materially" better than market expectations after a strong first quarter and with showrooms about to reopen.

Liberum noted that its FY21 pre-tax profit estimate was at the lower end of the range of at £17.8m.

"Clearly, much depends on how strongly consumer spending returns, but we remain positive, given the experience coming out of the last lockdown," the broker said.
