09/12/2020 07:49 | Repeating post 2317 (25 Nov)......as I see today's RNS FURTHER delay to interim results and therefore relisting still unable to manage the most simple of expectations.....16 Oct update stated interims to be published this month.....now stated today interims to be published next month.....when will they stop over-promising??? An even bigger pile of dung!!!!! | jaf111
27/11/2020 14:02 | Loads2 - thanks, helpful to hear im not the only one that thinks going concern may be a red flag type issue Wasn't sure how much a problem it is - not seen it for other companies | hotdog23
26/11/2020 14:54 | WHY DO YOU NEED TO CHECK WITH YOUR LAWYERS YOU 🤡🤡 | jabers1
26/11/2020 14:33 | Jabers1 Based on you revised terms happy to go ahead, will get my lawyers to check the legality of doing it. | wobbly123
26/11/2020 14:33 | Jabers1 Based on you revised terms happy to go ahead, will get my lawyers to check the legality of doing it. | wobbly123
26/11/2020 14:28 | Is anyone actually buying cars right now? The dealer market is ripe for consolidation. As for buying online you might buy a dacia on line but would you really buy a higher end make without even a test drive or the special feeling you get from actually being face to face in a dealership ? | loads2
26/11/2020 14:13 | Rich school kid who can bet 25k...Your a 🤡🤡 THE OFFER IS BASED ON THE CLOSING PRICE OF 21P. IAM READY TO DEPOSIT 25K AND IF THE PRICE FINISHES ITS FIRST DAY OF TRADING LESS THAN 21P YOU COLLECT. YOUR FULL OF HOT AIR YE 🤡🤡 | jabers1
26/11/2020 13:55 | Daz1712 The way you phrase it would be great for me, but Jabers1 has't phrased it that way. Perhaps he will clarify when he gets back from school. | wobbly123
26/11/2020 13:32 | Perhaps lookers plc should find someone to merge with? But then who would want to merge with such an incompetent CFO...!! Going concern issues, fca investigations, distressed business, fraud and scandals all under his watch but he carries on | loads2
26/11/2020 13:16 | The going concern can only be resolved by the bank’s agreement with the company going forward if they think they won’t get their money back they will call in the loans ASAP, but more than likely will want to hike the interest rates up and fix these for 5 years to make as much as possible, as their loans will be covered by the freehold property portfolio, so either way the banks win and the shareholders lose! | daz1712
26/11/2020 13:05 | Not that’s it’s my business but sounds fun and a chance to make some easy money for either party. The opening position set a 21p before the market opens and the close at the end of the day 4.30ish as I read it?? | daz1712
26/11/2020 10:41 | Jabers1, Your lack of experience shows. The terms of your suggested wager could result in them opening up at 4p and "closing" at 3.95 p and I would lose. You had probably best select maths, economics and accounts when selecting your GCSE's | wobbly123
26/11/2020 10:16 | Post 2328...let the game commence...is wobbly a he or a she?... | diku
26/11/2020 10:10 | It is a big deal but yesterday's announcement was so wordy, long winded and technical so you wouldn't notice "indicate material uncertainty regarding going concern" This has all happened under the watch of the interim CFO. | loads2
26/11/2020 09:00 | "indicate material uncertainty regarding going concern"Seems like a big deal to me but not seen anyone else mention | hotdog23
25/11/2020 17:57 | I'm sure wobbly v jabers1 can do what is suggested by a spread betting account. Make sure you set a stop loss or one of u is gonna lose your shirt. I'm equally sure the reason why lookers has been reducing their debt, their number of sites, staff... because they have have to. Banks are withdrawing support ... but that doesn't mean the business is bust. The interim CFO seems to be utterly incompetent. | loads2
25/11/2020 17:45 | 🤡🤡 | jabers1
25/11/2020 17:10 | Cannot see the banks pulling the company under particularly as debt being reduced and also the company being profitable. The actual fraud almost immaterial imo to the overall position. No position here myself, I did hold shares once but years ago. | debsdowner
25/11/2020 17:00 | Jabera1 I don't like people to lose money, but that's life when I am on the other side of the trade. In your case I will make an exception. If you don't blank the relevant comments in your mind you may recall that I am well in profit even if my shorts turned to Zilch. The facts for those with open eyes have been clear for everyone to see for along time. After trading recommences I will send you a voucher for specsavers. | wobbly123
25/11/2020 15:22 | Under "2020 Trading and Outlook""Despite resilient liquidity and before mitigating actions, ongoing uncertainties of COVID-19 and Brett mean severe but plausible downside sensitivities (my emphasis) INDICATE MATERIAL UNCERTAINTY REGARDING GOING CONCERN".Not exactly a statement of confidence | hotdog23
25/11/2020 14:39 | Dear WOBBLY123 Please return here once the trading suspension has been lifted, you 🤡🤡 | jabers1
25/11/2020 14:12 | Jabers1, You are back, assume you were out buying tissues. HotDos23 Sub 10p | wobbly123
25/11/2020 14:08 | "We emerged from the initial lockdown in a strong position and are well equipped to deal with the second lockdown in England. We have an industry leading portfolio, underpinned by a talented and dedicated team which means that we can look to the future with confidence." "My focus now is to restore the listing of our shares and to strengthen the Board to take advantage of the many opportunities that lie ahead for Lookers, which is fundamentally a great business." | jabers1
25/11/2020 13:59 | Any guesses as to the end of day share price when suspension gets lifted?Last close at 21p | hotdog23
25/11/2020 13:50 | "On 30 March 2020 Jim Perrie was appointed as interim Chief Financial Officer although he has not joined the Board" IMHO Under Jim Perrie's tenure at Lookers plc we have had: a) the FCA problem (still not dealt with) b) suspension of listing (still not rectified despite repeated promises made and broken) c) promises broken to publish YE 2019 accounts by 30 June, then by 31 August, then by 31 October - accounts only released today 25 nov 2020 when they were originally required by 30 june 2020 under listing and stock exchange legislation d) broken promises to publish H1 2020 by October, then by November - still not published - maybe some time in December - who knows? Interim CFO has got to go? Maybe he wants to unseat Mark Raban? Some ulterior motive? All IMHO - just looking back at history, statements made / alluded to / promises broken. | loads2 |
