GLEN may be interested in this. They have the track record of taking in troubled assets and sorting them out, by fair means or foul! I would not be surprised if they’re not looking. Salty.

This has been well orchestrated and manipulated and will be an absolute steal for Sibanye if it goes through at this price. I wouldn't be surprised if another company comes in with a higher offer. We will have to wait and see...

75% required by Takeover Rules so PIC could still block it or come back with a better deal, not sure that better deal is however because it would not match some of Sibanye's hand, e.g. their ore being pushed through Lonmin smelting / processing refinaries to make use of spare capacity something strangely enough a bunch of pen pushers in a posh office in the centre of Johannesburg cannot pull off. Even that rabbit out of the hat is not possible by PIC.

The combination should be strong and is likely to be a good investment. 11% of that is probably worth a lot more than the current 250m usd

And that was after some of us had lost our entire original investment. I should have passed up on the rights instead of pouring more down the drain, though the big loss was the initial stake, held for years and then worth zilch.

The falling has stop at the moment, not only at LMI but also at " Nasdag and SA
so I bought some for a punt at below 75p as order book is getting better also.
