Palladium is in deficit about 600 000 ounces and the price is rising. Platinum market is in balance and price of Pt is stable. Its pretty much obvious that price of Pt will only start to rise when where is deficit similar to what is now for Palladium.
The funny thing is that demise of Lonmin would help to make this very deficit and lift prices.

Mj19 Peel Hunt is not Goldman Sachs. There was a sharp fall overnight in pgm metal prices, a more likely reason.
I don't follow how a broker can value these shares at a modest discount to the current price. They will be worth either zero or £4 plus in a year, entirely dependent on whether platinum recovers.
