04/4/2025 15:01:34 | I think it tells a story of one's personality, when the same people go just about all cash, in any slight crisis...
And they of course always sell at the top and buy at the bottom.
When I was a casino manager, we had customers that claimed they always won, and thought they knew what the number was coming up on roulette, and loads of customers actually believed them. But the truth is, their buy ins were recorded on i-Pads so you could see exactly how they were getting on over the longterm, which was losing money.
What I find in life is if someone keeps banging on constantly how great they are, most with weaker personalities will believe them., and hero worship them.. It happens in all forms of life.. | igoe104
04/4/2025 13:51:23 | It's a myth to think you are saving yourself £1000s for those that have sold-up and fled to cash.
A few reasons why:
1) If your portfolio would have been potentially that hammered that much then you have to ask yourself what on earth are you holding!
2) When the bounce comes you are never properly invested hence do not capture it. History proves it is these days that provide to biggest gains to portfolios.
3) You miss out on potential bids
4) You miss out on dividends which in my case is very substantial. | cfro
04/4/2025 13:46:05 | ANP can be extra clever and ingenious on how it exactly gets round all these tariffs with two production facilites UK and US and it's huge valuable network of sales offices around the world..
They have already flagged uncertainty with the US sales and tariffs so some of that already baked into price and next years forecasts.
We have to see what they say in their next TU.. | cfro
04/4/2025 12:49:42 | I'm guessing a lot of that US demand will be e.g. Pork producers into China, which isn't viable with 50%+ tariffs

04/4/2025 12:40:47 | Don't know why ANP has fallen so much, it can sell to USA via its US subsidiary, and sell to China from its UK business... | igoe104
04/4/2025 12:24:40 | I couldn't care less about CR, im 15 years younger than him, and also got alot better health than him. And better looking... | igoe104
04/4/2025 12:16:29 | BB seems to be selling alot of shares today. Each too there own, but I'll be adding on Monday not selling. My emergency money 2% of my portfolio, will be transfered to my ISA on Monday. Just hope my old car doesn't brake down in the next 24 months and I don't get any other unexpected costs, popping up. 🙏 I've got lots of good size dividends incoming over the next few months, so I've plenty of cash to cover bills, afew holidays etc etc | igoe104
04/4/2025 12:12:41 | CR saved himself £1000's. | eeza
04/4/2025 09:31:13 | Cav 32 million market cap, 21 million in cash, and divi 6.5% very interesting... | igoe104
04/4/2025 09:25:35 | Interesting what CAV was saying about a rotation happening out of US stocks and into European and UK stocks.. | cfro
04/4/2025 09:20:29 | Been looking at CAV update this morning, not a company I've looked at before. Massive cashpile compared to market cap.
Dividend 6.5% | igoe104 | |
04/4/2025 09:17:01 | The production and collection of dividends is more important than ever in times like this. Can be used to top-up existing holdings at oportune prices if you wish.. | cfro

04/4/2025 07:17:40 | I always find it's good idea not to look at your portfolio when the stockmarket waters are choppy otherwise it can sometimes force you into doing things you just end-up regretting later on. Plus its just added stress which is unnecessary.
Best to let things settle down.. | cfro
04/4/2025 07:13:08 | You would think these Tariffs are a complete shock to the market. We've know about them for 6 months now, so why is everyone panicking now... | igoe104
03/4/2025 15:58:53 | Things getting bad to worse with Volex.

03/4/2025 15:49:23 | I've got a plan to top-up my TET holding. Hard to know if it will go lower or not but as you say, and i agree, it's very buyable around these levels.
I'm just of the opinion that the lower TET goes the more likelihood of a bid which could be 100% premium form here easily..
Or put another way if there are anyone who wants them it's now or never.. | cfro
03/4/2025 15:27:26 | Paul Hill is buying Treat at the moment. Must admit I'm tempted myself, going into a new ISA season, if they stay around this level, JHD another bargain..
TET at £3.15 looks very buyable... | igoe104

03/4/2025 09:03:08 | Great time to pick-up these financial divided payers on ex-div dates with the view to collect next years dividend if you have the spare cash.. | cfro
03/4/2025 08:58:12 | All these tariffs are doing is creating uncertainty and will eventually, i'm sure, just raise prices for the consumer hence more inflation.. | cfro
03/4/2025 08:56:57 | Didn't i say he would end-up selling out of his farting cow share lol. Bet he made a loss there..You can read him like a book..
It's turned-out to be a very clever acquisition ANP made last year with Bio-Vet. That now gives them a base in the US where they have said they can expand production. So they can avoid any potential tariffs.
Also TET have facilities in the States and CNC so they should be well insulated. | cfro
03/4/2025 07:18:04 | I was looking at a stat, that says 80% of investors buy at the top of the market and a similar sell at the bottom. Herd mentality fear of missing out, and shear panic when things drop, and sell everything regardless.. and lack of knowledge about each individual company, I bet some don't know what even the company does, it's just a wigglely line... | igoe104
02/4/2025 23:53:16 | Go Trump Gorra love it. He is the guy for a deal, if you are in for the long term all this is doing is giving you better buying levels. No panic unlike the stock futures tonight. | cowie19
