In the not to distant past you used to win titles and the Champions league. Now it's Comedy Cups, the very trophies you used to laugh at other clubs trying to win. Oh how the worm has turned.

You used to be admired and respected. Now people just point and laugh.

It's hard for some supporters of clubs, for example, that have never, ever won the PL or have never won it since 2004, we understand that & understand also the fact that they know that they will never,ever win the PL - BUT - as long as the phantom trophy exists, it should offer some solace for them....

Its not just about winning the league Philip. On that basis, 91 clubs have had a bad season. Its about playing well, entertaining your supporters, and not behaving like a spoilt brat all the time.

Lets take a random example, like United and Mourinho for example....

U just don't get it do you? The cl comes? with huge financial rewards. The calibre of player that can be signed also improves. You need to be in the cl to have a chance to win the big prizes.

Everybody wants the big clubs to be successful, that you are not hurts. It is exactly why the "top 4" is a great thing, it let's you believe that you have actually won something, it'a an illusion, a phantom trophy, but for clubs in your position, it's almost like winning the PL. We know there will be no mention of this in the record books, but hey ho, it's worth a T shirt surely..

With Mignolet & Karius what is there to worry about....

Actually progress is key. What progress have manure made following the departure of the odd head shaped one? 5th to 6th sounds like u are going backwards to me. Hope Ajax can do the business. Massive game for manure coming up. Failure in that and the season will have been a huge disaster.

The provincials are just like the chokers, knowing that they can never win the PL, they think that finishing in the top 4 is it's equivalent, OK you don't get a trophy but hey we have never had a trophy for donkey's - so what - they will be a T shirt out now...
