g2. My subscription to The Guardian provides some useful ammunition, but their views are largely mirrored by my own!

The reality is sad . . . our politics should have AVOIDED this can of worms in the first place!

However 40 odd years of right wing press dripping poison has hit the mark with many.

5124 What I find really sad about the Brexiteers on here , is they all want harm to come to other nations , while the uK is successful.

Can't just some, or even a minority, or even a tiny minority of brexiteers on here want to harm the remaining eu countries?


Try to take a balanced view and not extrapolate one to all. Also, If one business leader thinks the world will end on Brexit day, don't assume they all do. If one brexiteer is chimp, don't assume they all are. What if Brexiteers assumed all remainers were as mad as Minerve?

If tax receipts go down when the tax rate goes up, what does that suggest? The better off avoiding/ evading tax. Both of which are wrong. We are under taxed at the highest levels and under paid at the lowest levels.

The scandal of continued under funding of Local Govt is also something that needs highlighting, but it plays into the Tory right wing narrative of putting up scapegoats to blame.

That's not true, most just want fair deal and work along side the EU, but not be ruled by them. The talk of removing the individual veto would mean, closer integration with no
with no real input or opt-out.

From Sky News:

"Canada's leading cryptocurrency exchange company has said it cannot repay $190m (£110m) to clients because its founder died with their passwords.

QuadrigaCX's founder Gerald Cotten, 30, died "due to complications with Crohn's disease" while travelling in India to open an orphanage in December, his wife Jennifer Robertson said.

Mr Cotten held "sole responsibility for handling the funds and coins" and no other members of the team could access the stored funds, she said in a sworn affidavit as she filed for credit protection on 31 January.

Ms Robertson said about $190m (£110m) in both cryptocurrency and normal money is in "cold storage" - where the company, or just Mr Cotten in this case, holds the key, not the client."
