30/9/2021 22:50 | Female police officers fear reporting male colleagues as they worry they will be abandoned if they need help on duty, says a former senior officer. Ex-Met Ch Supt Parm Sandhu said female officers fear being "kicked in" while dealing with street violence. And a police watchdog inspector has admitted she would be concerned to approach a lone male officer at night. What is this cry baby lot. Social media will utterly destroy | jl5006

30/9/2021 19:30 | lefrene Thats exactly what Ive got against politicians. Most know SFA about most things but want to have the power to dictate to everyone how to deal with what it is they know SFA about. A woman just made a pertinent comment. They were talking about how the wokeys want the new Bond to be a woman. I reckon she is bang on when she said she doesnt know a single woman who wants Bond to be a woman. I get that. I dont know any bloke who wants Ursula Andress to crawl out the sea in drag. So how come the one or two odd ball cretins that do always seem to get their way? Why doesnt someone just put their foot on em and give it a twist | scruff1
30/9/2021 19:11 | I was a self-employed heating engineer, or as min says, (cowboy plumber) for 30 odd years, the Gas Safe and Corgi courses we all had to complete and pass every 5 years and renew registration every year! The people on the courses ALL PASSED, some completely incompetent, all the answers to the test at the end of your training were in the book you got with your fee!!! Just a money scam. | mikemichael2

30/9/2021 15:51 | Good afternoon Porto, I'm sure it wasn't your intention to close down the thread for the afternoon but it does seem to have had that effect. I have firmly decided not to buy BAY and will spend my time lookimg out for Charlie on his way around the banks, missed him last week on his visit to Leeds...but then I don't realy think he will be too dissapointed in missing me! All this touring around the country could well take it out of him, so much that he may need a rest period which could take him over the festiv season :-/ | optomistic
30/9/2021 15:36 | G2 Its all about control and the need felt by all politicians to interfere in any and all aspects of life. Talk to plumbers. When they brought in the need to be Corgi registered it cost less than £100. Not for long, Soon became Gas Safe. Soon costs £000's. Soon became a whole education industry around it that they were forced to accept. They only have to mention gas - safety and they have the moral high ground. Same with electricity. I used to do a lot of electrical work. Then they brought in Part P because of course -electricity - safety. The year they brought it in 2 people had died from electrocution. More have died in a number of years since. They even changed the colour coding of the conductors to stop people ignoring it. I just get a mate to test and sign off now - the customer of course pays and I guess me. I could have done the Part P course but it cost a couple of k and I would still have to keep up the farce. They would do it with painting and decorating if they could find a way to enforce it. Covid passports will be giving em orgasms | scruff1
