One good thing in the Queens speech that HMG will do. They are bringing in law to protect free speech on University campuses. Excellent. I wonder if anyone will have the courage to say that Horatio Nelson was a national hero? They may even take down Nelsons column, but who would have the guts to protest against that? The next General election will be interesting with capitalism and individual liberties undergoing a re-set. Woke versus free market capitalism.

Work ethic in a lot of sectors is out of window...looking at mobile phone at every opportunity is first priority...over 20 years ago when there were no mobile phones people did a proper days work...

What the hell is going on? As soon as lockdown is lifted, people go running to the pubs, jetting off on holiday, watching large sporting events etc. Not being a kill-joy but surely people should get back to work first and Government furlough payments stopped. What happened to the work ethic that taught people that man was born to work?

Pandy Why do we not have the capacity projected to make here. Answer - Gov stuck in an effing rut - no vision - and no competence to engineer anything but C 19 fears. Sad indictment of a Govt embroiled in a wallpaper scandal

No one ever debates the causes of climate change science anymore. And we all must accept that climate change is happening. What caused the last ice age we should not think about too deeply. The idea that volcanic pollution in the outer atmosphere stops the heat from the sun getting in and freezes us is confusing. I know, the greenhouse theory, 400 ppm co2 acts like a greenhouse admittedly with more that 90% of the glass panels missing. Why did it end and what caused the big thaw we should not think about. In Australia we see floods and fires. We should not ask why the fires were even worse 40 years ago. That said, glad to clean things up. if we could stop the Chinese and Indians building coal power stations, get the USA to use less energy per capita, a stop ships dumping rubbish into the ocean that would be great.

Thanks Joe for that great explanation. Just a thought on that action, is it possible that it would work on lawns, of course care would have to be taken as not to trip over the wire?
