Have you seen the number of pizza shops, fried chicken shops on our high streets ,queues at Macdonalds, Burger King nearly all offer you 1 litre of soft drinks just to make sure you consume enough harmful chemicals . Even in the frozen cabinets in supermarkets they're full ready made meals already cooked with cheapest ingredients the manufacturer can chuck in buy stick in the oven consume 24 cans of coke while you watch day time tv yes we would have such healthy lifestyles

"Geck - It's facts. The numbers where published!"

Where WERE these numbers published?

"£5B consistently every day based upon 2018 & 2019 trades that happened in London that now happen in the EU. I get no joy from it but facts are facts"

£5bn notional of trades, or revenue/profits from said trade to those dealing them?
If its notional value of trade done(and not the commissions etc) then it's pretty irrelevant in the big scheme of things. And we ALL knew some people would win, some would lose from Brexit. The aim for many was to make sure all those that had been losing for the last 46 years would now gain!!!!!!

I doubt it is every day, 365 days a year either myself.

"It's ok to wave the flag but just don't be blind while doing it... imho That's what London hopes you will do..."

????

"And go look at the FTSE chart before saying I'm not speaking facts... Zero growth while the DOW has climbed 180%"

Dow is massively overvalued due to QE. How much money have the Ameicans poured into the economy in the last 18 - 24 months??? most millenails spent their stimulus cheques on Robinhood buying US stocks!

Ftse has also lagged because look at its constituent parts - Top 10 companies - Oil, Banking, miners.

All smashed by the global slowdown.

"London needs to shape up. They used Brexit as an excuse to short and destroy British stocks. That's all they know how to do now. Entrenched in their mentality"

There is more to London than shorting/destroying British stocks. That's just conspiracy drivel you believe in. And we do not need to be in the EU to succeed either.

"Time for new blood with a new Era - especially if you want the UK to have any chance in succeeding... imho"

Don't disagree that changes are needed. New blood. New blood enters the market every 5-10 years anyway. Just a pity that so much of it is poorly educated due to the left wing brainwashing most undergo these days.

"If you created a new company in the UK now - not many would want to list it on the LSE! We now have companies here wanting to listing on the DOW instead! I wonder why...."

Why are so many overseas companies rushing to list on the LSE then?

Also use your logic about why so many want to list on the US markets - bigger market, more $$$ sloshing about, and higher multiples!!!

"Oh and when I said invest in Asia you called me Anti-British... now you say Asia is the future... steady up man! :-)"

Learn to read. I said nothing of the sort.

My comments were:
If you are that negative on Britain, and the ability of Brits to succeed, why don't you go with your money to Asia.

I didn't call you anti British because you invest in Asia. I invest in Asia myself as well.

I would expect average life expectancy figures to decrease slightly - because those who may have lived to really old ages will have been hit by COVID and the same situation for some middle-aged and higher. Death rates will most likely fall below average death rates for a while.

The fact is that COVID is causing unnecessary premature deaths in all age groups with those that don't have pre-existing conditions and/or are not obese as it is with those with pre-existing conditions and/or are obese. Don't believe the BS the government have been feeding you in the tabloids. In fact obesity as a percentage in intensive care at the moment is no higher than its percentage found in society at large. What also people don't think about is long COVID which is causing issues in many people who beforehand were fit and regularly exercised.

All because you prefer muscle to brain does not reduce your risk from COVID so the bicep brainless pumpers on this thread should take note.

So once we have successful vaccine which will eliminate coronavirus our UK life expectancy will jump to 90,100 or will the old stop dying

Numpties:

Excess deaths - over and above average - for the UK roughly equates to COVID deaths. So one can safely say that COVID has caused the unnecessary deaths of a similar number of people.

Learn to read statistics you numpties.

UK has the worst Coronavirus deaths in the world. World has population of 7.7 billion of that figure only about 1 billion of worlds inhabitants have life expectancy of over 80 probably about 3 billion its likely to be about 60 . UK only about 25,000 deaths from coronavirus were of people under 60 most I suspect had other health conditions chronic diabetes, heart disease which made them weak to any attacks by any virus so is that statement really responsible media reporting

I'd be careful if I were you, someone might report you to ADVFN and then you will have to go and create yet another alias. Knowing how stupid you are that will take you all day. I'm saving you a day. You can thank me later. :)
