All because they couldn't do anything else doesn't mean they shouldn't be given respect. They are still teaching our children afterall. You seem to be the one kicking off all the time because you haven't had any respect from anyone. It is you who hasn't had any recognition and who strives for it, looking for that purpose, looking to lecture, you are the only one to blame and need to look at your own lack of doing anything before lambasting others.

Most teachers are still way more capable than twig tweakers.

Many people think that because they work in the public sector (teachers) they are uniquely alturistic because they have chosen to pursue a vocation rather than a career, unfortunately as illustrated with Pander45 they can become virtue signnallers when they feel they're not getting the recognition they deserve. Suck it up Pander & welcome to the real world...I know there are lots of great teachers & I know there are lots that couldnt do anything else because the wouldnt last 5 minutes in the private sector.

I've not taken part in the stupid clapping nonsense. Nurses don't need claps, they need the public to start using their - currently - empty heads.

Now thinking about rules on inward flights...How many months has it taken them to get around to this?

The whole clapping exercise was most extraordinary and smacked of North Korea. Needless to say I have not taken part in it at any time.

Talk of the public sector is very broad brush and glosses over huge differences. Some of them are doing some of the most useful and important jobs there are; but large numbers of others are doing work that is either wholly pointless or actively harmful.

utricky,
"I get the impression you think public sector employees are doing the rest of us a favour. I wont be clapping the teachers they can FO."

Hear hear :)

We've already vaccinated 3 times more than Germany and 300 times more than France.Guess that answers your question.

Question: picking up on Patient Capital's point yesterday....had we still been in the EU would we have been able to get the approvals for AZ and Pfizer vaccines completed as quickly, and would we be able to roll out the vaccine at the current rate? Doubt it, we'd be having to seek their permission, fill forms out or wait to see if the other 27 were ok with it.

I too have been trading in lloy for very many years and I have often sold too early!

I just had to get back in at these low prices, why would I not? I keep buying more when it seems relevant. It's silly that this is a low penny share IMO. Many years ago I would day trade LLOY but nowadays I'm reasonably long. Taking profits and buying on the lows.

Any particular reason why everything seems to have taken a turn south or is it just my stocks with Friday fatigue?

Other than, the newspaper source is questionable.
