LIONTRUST ASSET MANAGEMENT PLC

Update on the Acquisition of Neptune Investment Management Limited

On 31 July 2019, Liontrust Asset Management Plc ("Liontrust"), the specialist independent fund management group, announced that it had entered into a conditional share purchase agreement with the significant shareholders of Neptune Investment Management Limited to purchase (the "Acquisition") the entire issued share capital of Neptune Investment Management Limited ("Neptune") for a total consideration of up to GBP40 million (inclusive of the expected net asset value of Neptune).

Liontrust further announces that the Acquisition completed on 1 October 2019, adding GBP2,743 million to assets under management (calculated as at close of business on 26 September 2019).

Trading update

Liontrust will issue its trading update for the six month period ended 30 September 2019 on 9 October 2019.
