Yes the extent of pay-out looks reckless as if only postponing an inevitable cut.

I wonder if lawyers have reassured them, "intend to" is not as committing as "will pay" similarly as "we believe..."

Presumably they are hoping they can still get lucky from here, re. asset inflows and stock prices, on which operational gearing kicks in.

A fascinating contest of hope vs reality.

Revenue and gross profit both down 20%.

Paying a massively uncovered dividend (even the interim is uncovered).

Poor performance and still getting worse.

AUM down yet again and asset base eroded.

Morning barnes4

Oh horse

I'm not sure if your post is as amusing as you think it is, or worthy of quite so many repeats.

Kindest regards

All the bad news is more than reflected in the share price, should see a good recovery from here

Outflows less than last year but still outflows.

The Directors intend to target a dividend of at least 72 pence per share for the year ending 31 March 2025.This language doesn't give me total confidence. Sounds like they are trying to manage expectations if and when they cannot achieve it.Good luck to all holders

That's the bit they have put in to hope you don't pay attention to the rest of it.

Looks like it has worked.

https://www.cityam.com/pension-funds-may-still-be-forced-to-back-britain-minister-warns/I am buying here. If within a few months Govt don't see flows from pension funds going into UK Equities, they will.mandate it. The Govt needs a booming stock market to show their policies are working. Until than just enjoy the dividends.
