Posted at 17/4/2024 18:45 by rcturner2 The stocko forecast is for eps of 76p and the dividend to be held at 72p.If that comes to pass I will be putting in my Master of Malt order that the wife is currently blocking. |
Posted at 17/4/2024 17:20 by eigthwonder My working assumption is that the dividend is held BTW, unless we have a serious sell off and/or the board think that profitability is headed lower, which doesn't appear to be the case. |
Posted at 17/4/2024 14:13 by brucie5 I trend to agree. But whatever they decide, it looks promising from here on in. Bought further yesterday on behalf of a 3rd party; in addition to my own holdings, which amount to a full position. So obviously I'm maximum bullish, a counter indicator if ever there was one! But it does look like this may be a situation where you get both capital growth via recovery and (at least relatively) high dividend.NAI, obviously. |
Posted at 17/4/2024 13:50 by rcturner2 I don't like it when companies get fixated on paying x amount. I would much rather they say, we will pay 75% of eps as the dividend (or whatever level). Paying an uncovered dividend simply to avoid the pain of cutting it is management cowerdice in my opinion. |
Posted at 17/4/2024 13:32 by mister md Unless they pay out of reserves until dividend is covered again ? |
Posted at 17/4/2024 08:39 by whittler100 PMI outflows increased a touch over the last Qtr compared to the previous QTR they also have less than half of the AUM of LIO. Looking at LIO, these Qtr outflows are the lowest of the last 5 Qtrs, so fingers crossed we are gradually moving in the right direction. |
Posted at 26/3/2024 14:48 by mister md LIO, PHNX and POLR are 3 shares with big dividends and lots of recovery potential. |
Posted at 12/3/2024 11:45 by brucie5 I think this has got to be more of a tide that lifts all boats - that are seaworthy!Think LIO, of course, which is now catching traders interest, including SCSW and CR. But others also worth looking at might include POLR, CLIG & MNG for great dividends. |
Posted at 07/3/2024 23:13 by it_trader Until the dividend yield is 4-5% this should keep growing |
Posted at 23/2/2024 17:13 by kenmitch Brucie5I hope they don’t rebase (I.e cut!) the dividend. Like you am very happy to continue holding. The sector really appeals now. Further sector consolidation possible too, and it’s a sector that outperforms in bull markets. I hold JUP PMI MNG and POLR aa well as LIO. I can’t fathom why POLR has lagged recently. 11% dividend AND they have Funds in favoured sectors currently like Tech. Ripe for a strong share price run imo. |
