I see Goldbloc being more for the middle class when I think about. I would use as a way to tuck small amounts of money away on a monthly basis for example. Maybe £200 - £400 a month. We all expect gold to be much higher than $1300/oz at some point in the next 5 years so it will be another way to expose myself to those gains and avoid holding too much sterling.

Funny weekend of posts:

"Derampers" want the price lower 2.5p - 3p
"Rampers" want the price higher overnight so they can sell and book 10% gains

Investors however are chilled out and spent the weekend with their friends and family, will hold onto the shares assuming the risk : reward is heavily weighted to the reward side if the company can deliver on their aspirations this year.

Company progress and news will ultimately drive the price in the ST with wild swings as we saw last week - still 50% higher in a week is pretty decent. Clearly resistance at the 5p level from the previous foaming frenzy of ST activity but overall a pretty good start to the year (Price & News).

I do not think though Goldbloc will ever attract 'billions' of customers. The target market is much smaller than that.

90% of people on the planet are either not able to:-
A - afford to save any money, OR
B - save as they do not understand the value of gold

Goldbloc will be for the other 10% of the global population who have residual income. It will therefore be a product for the upper/ middle class in society. Therefore the target population will be <600m people at best.

I will definitely be opening a Goldbloc account when they are available.
