Heading closer to funding I expect. They were supposed to be working with ERA I seem to recall some time ago, on security products - I may be mistaken and please correct me if I am.

It might be shock news that's needed CT.....still they could always get on the phone to Deta and conjure up another £2m order that disappears 6 month later.

No sinkkyj, There was never going to enough volume for me to invest and trade this stock since it hit the rocks.

I know you've probably bought in, and maybe even just exited, CT but if not I'd be cautious if not. You are correct it would have to shock news, as obviously the employees shouldn't have know it. As has been discussed on here before, the holdings in LW are getting slightly concerning. If they are struggling to raise a significant amount and Committed need to come in, it might suit them to come in lower. It's not completely fancyful that friendly faces could get towards 75% and delist to get better value in the company and save costs. Especially if they can see better news in the medium term and the chance of a good return via a trade sale.

Interesting what you have to say sinkyj.

Surprised that they are happy to see the share price slip back after doing so much to send it upwards, and not have already raised the cash when it was over 10p.

Maybe shock news will send it up even more?

sinkyj they just have to build the brand, the emergence of den is yet another good sign that is what is needed - the smart home market is moving ever faster and they are going to get left behind unless get a raise done and spend for growth. 300k views is a sign of how much ££s are going into the fb, insta, etc media buying and so far so good i would say.

anyway, if the use cases chosen are a little weak, and in hopes they might read this, what would you recommend as good new use cases for the smart family?? and I don't see them on the den web site either, turning off your iron if you forget is similarly weak surely?

Den have not got "The Smart Family" - have you noticed how many views - wow almost 300k views on one of them, that was posted 20 December 2018. So Wakey Wakey. :-)

You're right about the markets, there shouldn't be too much overlap until Den decide to do decorative faceplates. I wouldn't rule that out, though. Be aware Den have launched with a much more complete range than LW have and some very clever and unique ideas that the market has asked for. Den have made some good choices. This isn't the Den board so I won't go through them all, but Lightwave should learn. Hopefully, the competition will focus LW and it's major investors. Den created more products from a zero start with 3m than LW managed spending nearly 5m. LW have become bloated and slow without the advantages of a large income. Lightwave don't even have a single socket or PIR or remote control . Not a huge sellers but very annoying of you have single sockets and double in your room and you want to change. If look at the people LW have the board/major investors vs an Ex Amstrad CEO and 10 year CEO of a major utility, and a successful tech entrepreneur, then they also need to correct that. I declare an interest, that Ian is also a shareholder of mine and he was and is very useful at using his connections to both his other investments and previous colleagues. Energenie are poor copies of LW previous generation plus a nice TRV valve. They are probably selling reasonably well, as did LW However, for the future they lack the reliability that the market needs now. Their of finish isn't that of Lightwave and they lack the standard RF and unique features that Den has. I don't see them as a player.

big market + room for more than one i'd say, particularly as the design approach they each use is so very different. must say that when i first invested in lw one of the concerns i had was lack of competition (no competition = no market). anyone got a view on energenie switches/sockets? they looked cheap+ugly to me, so never bothered buying any, lw look great - den look like plastic switches always have looked like.

looking like who gets a big utility or other major partner first will go out in lead in the race - and if slinkj is right re why the sse guy came in then that's exactly what den are angling for.

To be fair Den`s products look like 1980 models rather than LWRF`s smart sockets.

Just because someone is good at raising funds at premium levels and getting a big named backer in, does not mean they can make any better job of making a profit or for that matter not make ongoing losses.

The best way for any Big Money man would be to wait until LWRF has raised another pittance, and then strike with a bid as they will have needed to bare the dressed up facts to anyone putting up funds.

They would at least get a lot more for their money than waiting for Den.

Homekit approval has been vastly streamlined since LW started the process and is a software key on the hub. Apple isn't driving the sales the way a utility with installation services would. Even lightwave are building their direct sales. Den website. It will be a lot further a way that a few months but obviously no major obstacles like completely having to redesign the products as LW did. "We're currently working on integration with Apple HomeKit and we hope to release support a few months after our official launch. Unfortunately, we're not in a position to promise dates just yet. HomeKit support will be added via free updates and no additional purchases will need to be made."

Doubt theirs will be Apple approved. They could use that money to buy LWRF Gen2 sockets and switches.

htTps://gadgetsnow.website/london-good-house-startup-den-raises-2m-from-buyers-together-with-former-sse-boss-ian-marchant-and-betfair-founder-mark-davies/Den have raised another 2m including some from Ian Marchant's Dunelm Energy fund, Mark Davis and also Andy Murray, I heard. Ian is a very well connected investor to have on board. 10 years as SSE CEO and still knows an awful lot of people there. Lightwave will soon have a serious competitor that could have a utility company on board. How very, very concerning.

Speaking of Oysters athnotts - have you ever found a Pearl in one, or do you not look in the shells, and just discard them once you have enjoyed the contents - well clearly LWRF is the Pearl that many have yet to find in a sea full of shells, most not even containing edible contents let alone valuables.

I am however delighted to hear that you seem to agree with me that the stock will rise towards 16p and allow weak holders receive no less than 11p and maybe even 16p within a short period of time. On that recommendation and confirmation I look forward to seeing this continue its rise.

the world is everyone's oyster but 2/3rds of it is water and i don't think lwrf want to be boiling any oceans.

nice to read ct in mr hyde mode. 11p today. would need a hefty rns to get to 16p imo. assume ct will sell somewhere between the 11 and 16 and dr jeckyll will descend once more...

Come on guys and girls - you know the team are wanting to get the share price back up to 16p - as we all want the company to succeed, surely your going to help and make dreams come true - you know we are likely to have at least one maybe two more RNS with great news that should help us supporters come out with a healthy profit.

Just look how good PSL are at getting their share price up on just one RNS, maybe the team around them are more supportive and give the likes of whoppy their full backing by chipping in for the future wellbeing of this once or twice in a lifetime opportunity.

Soon we will have product ready for the US market - the world is our oyster.

THAT is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read on advfn.
