I checked out the DXR thing. Couldn't begin to understand why anyone would buy. Seemed like a total disaster area, frantic attempts to salvage anything at all

Tara,

I have followed a number of your tips for 2010 and have seen a number rocket up already. Do you have a thread charting their current performance agianst where they started the year?

Thankyou, i do not pick winners i only buy shares that are in my view far to cheap, re risk / reward. By buying at the right price one reduces risk and gets value. How can NTA be valued at just 7m pounds, when it may well have profits of over a huge £100m on the way.!!

Tara - there is no doubt that you can pick winners. Well done with NTA.

Fair points Wooly62, time will tell, did you see one of my ten for 2010 top of todays leader board, unloved and unwanted yesterday prior to the MNR results today. NTA my share about to make profits many times its market cap in my view.

tara - it's been around 5 years to get where exactly? After 5 years it's worth diddly squat and there's no evidence that the position in 5 years time will be any different. How many times have you seen statements saying companies are looking to do deals, or they've overcome their difficulties only to find they disappear into the ether? You evaluate the risk as zero? Then why on earth don't you launch a bid for the company - after all, it's mkt cap is less than your home is worth isn't it? Much better to sell that and rent than run the risk of owning a home which can go down in value than to own a stock with zero risk. I do accept that if you can find a 10 bagger it pays for 9 that go wrong, but there is simply nothing to suggest that this is worth 10x current SP, or even current price + anything - it's a total punt. If you want to represent it as such, it would be a justifiable play, but to suggest it's a zero stock which is going to make the sort of returns you're claiming is unwarranted. Investors should do their own research, but some will be swayed by the strength of others arguments. I have no idea if this will fly or crater at some point - and neither do you.

Wooly62 you fail to understand the market, first this stock has been around 5 years , the directors have a stated policy of wanting to do a deal. If one starts from a very low base two things can happen . ZERO or any amount above zero 10, 50, or 1,000 times. Now, here like all shares the risk is zero. As you know time and time again i have proved if you buy 10 stocks like this is does not matter a hoot if one or two go bust, as others 10 or 50 bag.

Tara - what is this about?
"This stock is the cheapest on the LSE, and has not gone bust or delisted. Its market cap went from 100k to 300k and if a deal is done may go in time to 10m.!!"
Of course it hasn't gone bust or delisted or we wouldn't be discussing it. No companies go bust until they, erm, go bust! You can't encourage investment based on that. The price rose because it was ramped and is so illiquid it takes very little to move the price. To suggest the existing shareholders have a snowball in hells chance of the price going up 30 fold beggars belief. I know you've done well in the past, but unless you were just extremely lucky your analysis must have been based on something a bit more tangible than market cap being low. In my experience, shell companies tend not to be valued very highly.

Luck to you Kenny, but no matter what everyone bullish might like to try and pretend you dont invest in a bombed out illiquid penny share for a few weeks and sell out at a loss pretending you need the money for something else unless you have learned something rather alarming about your investment.

I rather suspect kenny did but cannot tell anyone because it would be against stock exchange rules as inside information. Therfore he has no choice even if he wanted to tell others, he has to pretend he knows nothing.

Dont even know why im posting this anyway, everyone out there on the bb isn't stupid and knows this anycase.

I respect Kenny's decision to bail out, although anyone buying a stock with such inertia as this really should only do so as a long term play.
I do think some people are blindly backing Tara's views (and I'm not suggesting that's what Kenny did) rather than looking objectively at the fundamentals of the share, but if they believe that suits their investment strategy what's wrong with that? This share rose on ramping which had no substance behind it - the subsequent collapse provides a salutory lesson.
