30/7/2004 09:10 | What are people thoughts about the placing of the 180,000,000 New Ordinary shares that have commenced trading? There seem to be so many willing sellers out there, but the price keeps moving up. You have to think that (this may sound obvious) as the price keeps moving up on high selling, imagine what it would do if it became high buying. | mattyfromtheblock
29/7/2004 08:53 | TES - 50p and going nuts as we speakm if it does a LPY it shud be 200p! | pipwattam

29/7/2004 07:11 | independent - code TES Trading Sports Exchange Systems was the best performer on the London market, soaring 104 per cent, or 20.5p to 40p. Dealing rooms were awash with rumours about the stock and the most exciting story suggested that Terry Ramsden, the millionaire racing enthusiast, is about to get involved with the company. Mr Ramsden's tie-up with Leisureplay and Hansard Group has seen both company's share prices soar. And word has it he is planning to inject cash into Trading Sports and take a board seat. This is, of course, speculation. In terms of facts, all we know is that Trading Sports is considering a fund raising. | pipwattam
28/7/2004 12:41 | An ambulance stock is a term that was coined in the boom times in Japan where the institutions target a stock which they know has rapid upside potential. It is a sort of ambulance that institutions can climb aboard when they have been burned on previous investments. Obviously such activity could not happen here in the UK because it would be insider trading, but, as you rightly say, Merrickman, it looks like "retail getting stuffed", because the price has gone beyond the fundamentals without a RNS giving satisfactory reasons explaining why people may be prepared to pay £30 million for £3m of net assets and no business. Is Ramsden worth £27m - someone thinks so and it isn't retail. | pylon
28/7/2004 12:34 | pylon - what does that mean - never heard that trading expression before. "waiting for crashes" ? I think all should remember the identical game is in play over at Hassard - so do not think MM (As EVO have stake in both, Evil is recommending both and suprise Ramsdens consortium awarded massive 3p shares in both) - We may see a shake but not a crash untill Hassard share have been allocated then dumped) Looks like a major con - undoubtably FSA will be monitoring especially as a couple of interesting characters involved also EVO investigated for games on Room Servive dealing and Ramsden has a "reputation". All logic says should crash - yet I suspect there will be a twist and sting with sadly retail getting stuffed. | merrickman
28/7/2004 12:12 | Isn't this what the Japanese would call "an ambulance stock"? | pylon
28/7/2004 10:56 | A very nice 200k 20p MM buy at 10:40am. Buys coming back through nicely after little selling spree. | mattyfromtheblock

28/7/2004 10:01 | This share certainly is a one in a million share. I do agree with you Merrickman, that a substantial drop is possible and maybe even probable, but you have to look at market sentiment on this share at the moment with 92% of trades today being buys for LPY. I have been in since 7.24p (sold out at 11.5p, then got back in at 12.25p) so you could say I am enjoying the ride a little, but with positive buy to sell ratios still going through daily, this should keep rising nicely in the near future. I would definitely consider selling though once the sellers come in force though. | mattyfromtheblock
28/7/2004 09:57 | Thanks Merrickman... only in for a few.. | gismo
28/7/2004 09:54 | Gismo - This share totally defies all logic - the fundementals are excessive - with the 80 million share being issued tommorow (3p paid for them) the market CAP will be circa £36 M with current cash £3.2M. Would not suprise me to see Evil is part of this merry crew consortium along with EVO or is it concidendence he is also tipping Hassard which whilst a trading business now has PE 120). Whilst I think these will continue to rise (as part of a predetermined plan) Even I would not have the balls to go long. Looks like a pump with no dump - shorters squueze. All it would take is one off Ramsdens consortium to sell 10 million shares for these to plummet - This will not happen as predertined plan in play. Think about it if you bought 10 million shares at 3p and could sell them for £2m 4 days later would you. £1.7M profit. Nice work if you know the right people. | merrickman
28/7/2004 09:33 | From Watshot Leisureplay (LPY) * - yesterday I was fairly clear on my price prediction for the shares of this freshly funded company. I see them rising to 25p within days. Last night they closed at 18.75p, up 2% on the day, with a useful 11,130,873 shares turned over on the day. Despite the recent spectacular ascent there is a rapid 33% gain to be had by buying the shares today. | gismo
28/7/2004 09:24 | rmart - I have sold as I would tend to agree, however people have been saying this will drop for weeks ! Interesting to see where this will be in 6 months time. Good luck to anyone still holding. | james 2
28/7/2004 09:22 | this would scare me, the figures dont add up, i can see a massive drop coming soon. | rmart
