Paddy whilst not settled prior to court the company could have offered a Caulderbank letter (Its an offer to settle) which would limit costs should any settlement be less than any ammount awarded.

James I think ramping or deramping is a pointless excercise. I find BB should be a forum for exchanging views. Whilst all logic supports shorting the fact is this share is defying logic. My only thought is the share is being primed for a shareholders placement to raise funds for new venture and maybe suprisingly have done a deal for placement with EVO hence their determined efforts to keep rising - as it is they who are driving this price - probably subject to some privy knowledge - or simply pump and dump.

If the 80 million 3p share dilution is voted for then this in turn would be ridiculous as the current share value would mean that should be rejected (although NET Asset value actully does not even support 3p) . Greatest threat to shorter is shareholders options (1 for 1 at say 10p).

At present I have halved short (exposure) as I always stick with stop losses. My head says reshort should this hit 20. But I will only reshort when I see some volume sells.

Personally I think it would be prudent to bank profits - as this share price is totally out of all proportion. The company is a shell and Ramsden has a dubious history.

These things are generally settled in advance. Its suprising that it has gone to court, this would suggest that the company have strong views on the likely outcome, or that the fella was not prepared to compromise. It looks as thoughthey are going to attemp to rip his integrity to shreds.

Merrickman - thanks for posting the link - I'm very surprised the hearing has gone ahead as imagined it would have been settled before hand - agree that share price unlikely in any event to be effected greatly by the outcome - its clearly other factors which are moving it

Merrickman, considering you are short your posts are very "balanced". Not often you see that but makes a refreshing change.

Cheers

you could be right. It is pretty obvious that some people are in possesion of facts that the public is not.

Should he lose the company will benefit from £800k that is in escrow and costs - . In many respects the court case seems irevelent compared to rise of this share. It appears to me they win the case the share rises they lose it rises less. Something is brewing but can't help thinking this share will go down in history (or FSA files) as one of the most successful ever or a big elaborate hoax for which EVO will be investigated again.

I'll leave it up to the courts to decide, but I do like Mr Murray's proposed contract. nothing like working 3 days a week & having 40 days holiday imo.

Mr Murray had originally proposed a contract that included £125,000 for a three-day week, 40 days holiday a year and a company car worth up to £60,000

There were two buys one of 3 million and another of 2 million,
thus the price rise today. The price was rising all day today even
when at one time there were more sells than buys.
I agree with Merrickman that the fundamentals mean that the share are vastly overvalued, and when you consider that the placing of 80 million shares of 3p is to come late July - believe 28th. One should make a decision before these share hit the market and although punters here dont think that they are going to dilute the price - logic states that it will - possibly to 10.5p
Even my man likens this share with Blake which went to £2,
but is he right, will LPY go to £2.
The pe ratio is non-existant. It is like a hot air balloon at 30,000 feet,
can it really go higher?

GWDEVANS - 13 JUL'04 - 15;48

Further to the above posting, MWM watshot said about the buying of the Americans and Canadians yesterday.
The price hike does seem to be too good to last! but I am hopeful!

Broker ----------- I have been shorting from 13. Nothing adds up with this and sometimes share movements defy logic - but this is taking the biscuit. Paddy I do agree something a miss and the big buys could be shorters taking hit - as there must be many about. One possibility is the company may move to shareholders options (if the news is good enough to justify) still stick by my prediction there will be a massive collapse of this share simply a question of when - as the fundementals are total nonsense.

A trade of 3 million at 16p say a buy.

edit - and another 2 million at 16p.

surely the 80 million placing to institutions will dilute the price?

defies logic.

s4kcm - anybodies guess. 80 million 3p share diluton pending. Court case pending and less than £800K in the bank. I am biased as I am shorting - but I think it is too high risk too go long as after new shares - buyers could sell at 15p (If remain as is for 500% return in a day) and that would crucify the price. I feel the EGM must abandon its placing with the share price being as is and consider shareholding options - however Ramsden would then lose his 5p options which would not please him hence lose the Golden Goose that layed this golden egg. You need to seriously look at the financials as this company has neglible assets relative to current market cap of 15M - 2 weeks ago 2.7 million CAP.

I was wondering what price you think this share could go to in the short term and long term .
Also any news on the court case ?

Merrickman, I understand that they could sell for immediate profit (I would), its the fact that they will be supporting & identifying specialised financial opportunities for the company.

As you have said given the dilution the price looks crazy but still the price has risen more than anyone had originally thought and big buyers have been accumulating 2 million+ shares at these levels.

the tick down was WINS on the offer, EVO still remain routed to the bid.

good luck anyway, either way it will be interesting to see the outcome.

Incidentally this trading pattern has been repeating for days circa mid day - WINS or KBC drop price - EVO historically then raise the price and the others match. EVO should raise to 15.25/16.25 and force the others up. If EVO do not do this then others will drop the bid. At present EVO controlling the game according to WINS. Personally still amazed but it is evident that not many big sellers in the frame so obviously something a miss somewhere.

At this rate I don't even think losing the court case would cause a drop - as it is so robust at present. BUT when it does fall it will be a rapid correction - and it will

James even Professional & institutional investors would happily sell shares the next day for 500% profit. If this company is now so attractive then give exisiting shareholders options to buy 1 for 5 holding at 12p (25% discount to market) that would raise 20 million at 12p - £2.4 million. As opposed to diluting shareholders assets by issuing 80 million shares at 3p in addition to the existing 100 mill in issue.

so 80% dilution and price rises 500%
