19/9/2010 23:20 | In my opinion, here is what plan B should be for LNG shareholders, listen up: Plan B Reject the offer, that goes with out saying in my opinion, on moral grounds at the very least. As a group, major shareholders, should get some decent lawyers and personally sue Creedy and Gabriel C on the grounds of taking a successful business and running the company into the ground quick smart. There has been clear extreme negligence (at the very least) in my opinion. Don't forget, Gabriel C has got quite a few million from the Betshop sale to LNG, and Creedy isn't short of a few bob either based on the salary he has been syphoning from LNG since his 'appointment'. I'm sure Neil Craven and Colin would be willing to give testimony. If Gabriel C ends up with Betshop in the short term (from administrators), then so be it. But in the long term, as well as any financial rewards received from winning the court case (which could be a few million at least), the courts may order Betshop to be handed back to shareholders and then shareholders will have the funds to keep it going. Remember this business had a market cap of £12m only in January this year (and we all thought that was 'cheap' too based on the potential of the business going forward). There's a lot a stake here, don't let them get away with it. Get some decent lawyers and get the business back in the hands of the owners. | ldmachin
19/9/2010 11:29 | Completely, but its never over until the fat lady sings. If there is a plan B,it will need majority support. If that support already exists then any announcement can be timed to maximise its effect. It would help their cause if they acknowledged a plan B albeit without detail. | bleepy

17/9/2010 14:17 | Obviously and without the benefit of hindsight, our mans biggest mistake was taking a notifiable stake. NEVER DO THIS Keep it to 2.99%, then you can slip out 100k sells whenever you like, without alerting the market or affecting the sentiment of your fellow foot soldiers. My bet is he might have taken some profit in the 9p to 12p range had he done this. The second smaller howler, but almost as daft, completely devoid of logic was that the man kept adding small amounts as and when why, why, why, why, why????????????? so 5m ain't enough.... i know i'll buy another 12k today.... what a great idea this behavour was indicative of an investor who had fallen in love with his share | burgerbarwomen

17/9/2010 13:30 | Our Cliff - Hello all, In response to enquiries from several Fools Followers of Leisure & Gaming may be aware that I have not posted about LNG at 'the other place' since the firm released its Q4/09 results on 28 January. Likewise, LNG was my entry into the Nicky Fraser Trophy for 2010, but I removed my write-up a month ago. Conspiracy theories abound as to my self-imposed exile! There is only one reason for my 'radio silence' as regards LNG: As owner of ~6% of this firm, it is assumed that I carry a lot of influence as regards the company, thanks to my access to its directors and other major shareholders as a 'significant shareholder'. Given this, I have agreed with Colin Eastaugh (LNG's chairman) and Richard Creed (CEO) not to comment on LNG for the foreseeable future. However, I look forward to analysing the 2009 preliminary results and Q1/10 trading update due three weeks today (22 April). I note that LNG's share price has dropped 50% from the September 2009 peak. This is of no concern to me, as I have never sold a single share in LNG and have no plans to do so. Cliff | conlon2

16/9/2010 20:22 | greetings from afar. 'the analyst' i have no direct connections neither do i personally have a financial interest. i have been on this forum for a while now and have only indicated for many weeks if not months that i believed an offer or two would come in for this business whilst others said otherwise. moving on from that i have had an open mind, however it has become apparent to myself that many here have ulterior motives and have lost sight of the objective of any investment - either to make money or to get out with as small a loss as possible. from what i have seen on the forums the major shareholders have quite clearly had some level of involvement with the lng board (a meeting on 6 sept and i assume prior to) but have chosen not to get financially involved, only now do they appear to be willing to try and get some sort of finance package together to rescue this business when they feel time has run out, they have had 4 months - what have they been doing? they seem to have forgotten that the company will go into administration if this deal does not go through and barclays are not willing to extended loan facilities. these facts can't be made up - there is no hidden pot of money - so there is simply no choice, end of story, no amount of ifs and buts are going to change this it seems. for whatever reason this has happened. there is a deal on the table, there is a price and there are additional earn outs. if you don't believe there is value in this business then why would you want to save it? if you do think there is value in this business then the earn outs will be achieved and you will be rewarded accordingly. so which way is it? if you spend more money on this how long will it take you to recuperate existing losses plus more investment? hence why i say take what you can now and hope the business delivers those earn outs. there is no concrete evidence either way as to what will happen - you can only go by history, as you did when you first invested. the alternative is 0 - fact. something is always better than nothing in my book. an investment is an investment - you take a chance. you make them to make money, many people here appear to be willing to throw away money for no other reason than to make themselves think they will feel better. i know a dollar in my pocket is better than no dollar in my pocket. if you think perhaps these major shareholders are your knights in shining armor then leave your vote until the last minute and see if they come up with anything solid. otherwise just move on from this sorry affair. if the deal goes ahead then as shareholders in the company you can group together and rid yourselves of the existing board and use the shell to do with as you feel appropriate, now there a thought, why not get your heads together on that....maybe the papal visit will deliver some divine intervention. | jmaccer
