11/12/2024 11:06 | jj...if you were alert you would have seen the company's VERY upbeat presentation on 4th December. That was the catalyst for the huge jump in the share price The DLG/Aviva event was secondary by a long mile. | cyberian
11/12/2024 08:37 | Historically the FTSE has some very low volumes over christmas period but often some very steep rises too (on back of low volume) - especially during christmas week... | netcurtains
11/12/2024 08:32 | I would hazard a guess as to punters willing and hoping the share price up but very few willing buyers but a fair few looking to sell when price does rise. This went up on the back of Aviva taking Dlg No substance in the market just lots of hot air and I am as guilty as the next one. FOMO is to the fore As I opinioned we have lots of promises but still 3 months until we see results will look at end of January next year after Trumps inauguration. Hopefully we will see his intentions and maybe garner some confidence and inspiration something sadly lacking at this moment in time in my view. Until then as you were. | jubberjim
10/12/2024 16:37 | Do we know why the FTSE crumbled today? | netcurtains
10/12/2024 15:26 | A 5 year chart pretty much shows what’s been going on. You can draw a more or less horizontal line at this level and it touches a huge number of resistances and supports. Not surprising its a return point. | yump
10/12/2024 14:41 | hopefully this sort of area will be new support | supermarky
10/12/2024 14:40 | Good little pull back after the good news recently. Tempted to nab a few more. | supermarky
10/12/2024 12:24 | It doesn't need such downward pressure, it does it unaided. | fionascott1234
10/12/2024 12:19 | The Pension Protection Fund’s annual Purple Book now out is almost universally regarded as the authoritative “state of the nation” guide to the UK’s private sector defined benefit schemes. Possible that this technical publication may put some downward pressure on the insurers??? (links on my thread) | alphorn
10/12/2024 12:19 | I was pleased the deep dive was well received by the market. But, since I have been building a bigger position in LGEN in the 220p's and below, I was a bit dismayed to see it pop as well! Looks like it's settling back and any US market weakness should drop it lower, too. That is just my personal perspective. I appreciate some want the share price much higher and may be looking to exit for their own reasons. | huckers
10/12/2024 12:15 | Even with such an amazing yield, as robust as you can get in FTSE 100, is not enough to entice investors and boost the share price That has been the UK story for many years now. Hence, the main reason to invest for income returns... Boring but rewarding in long term GLA | tornado12
10/12/2024 10:46 | LGEN tipped as a "HOLD" by the Questor column in this morning's Telegraph Analysts’ consensus forecasts for a dividend of 21.32p a share in 2024 equate to a dividend yield of 8.9pc, which should be enough to satisfy the needs of any income-hungry portfolio builder. There is also scope for further share buybacks, over and above the £200m programme completed this year, to take the total cash yield from the stock above 10pc. Questor says: hold Ticker: LGEN Share price: 236p | cwa1
09/12/2024 18:26 | With the FTSE up 43 you should expect a wee fillip with LGEN but no it never works that way. Another bleed down is on the cards to follow the norm. | fionascott1234
09/12/2024 16:24 | Oh dear back on the slide again. Was hoping that it would keep track with the FTSEfor a change. | eckiethump
09/12/2024 15:32 | cyberian, you might've thought it would be from a couple of years ago...but from this very morning ;-) | cwa1
09/12/2024 15:30 | CWA1...when was that Jefferies review and target dated.....2 years ago?? Personally happier with JP Morgan Cazenove "overweight 290p target". Very happy to see our new man Eric Adler CEO Management of Funds awarded some decent options. He certainly has an outstanding pedigree coming from PRU, and a few other really outstanding positions. | cyberian
09/12/2024 11:29 | My sword doing very well Pierre well past 10% now lovely lol. | 123trev
09/12/2024 10:23 | I ignore them. | estienne
09/12/2024 10:10 | 6/12/2024 JP Morgan Cazenove Overweight 290.00p 295.00p Reiteration Broker notes have become silly. | jordaggy
09/12/2024 09:11 | This should make ALL the difference... *JEFFERIES CUTS LEGAL & GENERAL PRICE TARGET TO 230 (235) PENCE - 'HOLD' | cwa1
07/12/2024 11:25 | Agree as it will take some time and uncertainty for Aviva to integrate DLG, provided of course that there is no referral to the regulator. That could hold things up a while but approval should be OK in due course. I did switch a few and added here as the prospects look very sound going forward. | cyberian
06/12/2024 23:28 | You down tickers are swines! 🤣🤣 I expect to see a lot of retail investors jumping ship from AV to LGEN in the coming weeks as they digest the dilution and synergy balance/reward of AV's takeover of DLG. I've now sold all my AV and bought here. Better mid term visibility and better dividends. | jordaggy |
