If it were a company specific low share price it would be more of a worry. As it is there are so many high yielders that its guesswork which might have any unforeseen problems.

Bit different to high yielders in an overall positive market.

Not necessarily. Whenever dividend yield get to 10%+ it's often the market indicating it thinks a cut is likely. If a high dividend always implied a share is undervalued it would be easy for us all to find our next share purchase!

The dividend yield should be about 5-7%
As its nearer 10% that implies

"MASSIVELY SO"

Is correct.

With the anticipated dividends on offer at both Phnx and Lgen and even Abdn they are a steal at these levels.

Still holding out on Mng but very tempted on back of dlg shenanigans.

I hope Amanda Blanc knows what she is doing She hasn't put a foot wrong so far apart from my initial gripe from way back.

In these topsy turvy times I have to take my hat off to her.

I hope Simoes has been making notes.

Good luck all

Any peace deal that leads to an end to the Palestinian issue would be good for the market as the suez would again be a viable route which would bring down shipping costs and timelines.

Bids do tend to put others in the frame....
Perhaps some big US company or UK banks would like to buy LGEN or PHNX or MNG or ABDN

Why should it. Direct Line gain is due to bid from Aviva, don't see how this affects LGEN.

The EU stockmarkets (especially the German) moves roughly in step with the FTSE (give or take - at least my German Tracker does)....
So if Starmer's new EU deal is any good one would expect both German and UK market to rise.
We cant do a deal with USA because food/agriculture will always be an inssue but its not an issue with the EU, in fact UK farmers gain with a EU deal.
LGEN certainly will as a bellwether of FTSE100

No it isn't!

Current National debt is $36 trillion.

335.46 million is the current population of the USA.

Anyone surprised?

careful: If the stock market is a casino then there is no over or under priced.
Its random.
Dividends though are something tangible.

dow was 11200 jan 2000
ftse100 was 6950,
UK shares pay bigger dividends.

Not meaningful because wall street is crazily overvalued.
(if 10-20% of investors tried to cash in the market would collapse)

It is all a mirage buying makes it go up selling goes down even quicker.

Like worthless Bitcoin.
One day it will recert to the mean, the wealth is grossly overrated.

Warren Buffett says everyone is playing with fire.OK to make selective buys when total value isa bot 70% of GDP, but we are well over 100%.

careful
