23/11/2020 11:22 | Yes; and whatever damage a thin Brexit deal will long term In short term - it's party on | williamcooper104
23/11/2020 09:27 | A favourable Brexit outcome would improve sentiment generally for the UK as an investment destination. Respected investment experts are beginning to make positive noises about the UK stock market. They believe it could move up sharply in the coming months on the back of a wall of money from international investors who previously wouldn't touch the market with the proverbial barge pole. Johnson will reportedly speak directly to European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen in a bid to “clear away final barriers” to a trade deal. | mo123

21/11/2020 15:02 | I don't consider it a sleep well at night stock - high volatility/high beta/high leverage (an annuity is a line of credit to an insurer) - but it's a core holding - value too great to avoid (IMO) - will look to take some gains to average down my core holding price on the hopeful Santa rally (that's my letter to Santa for this year) | williamcooper104
21/11/2020 14:16 | 318p ish earlier this year and a growth stock makes this a core holding for me. | ianood
21/11/2020 11:42 | Div yield of 6.7 isn't the FV (IMO) if we get even the lower guidance level of earnings/div growth I like splitting holdings too between long term holds and trading positions - if only because it helps me keep my ADHD trading finger keep my long term holds :) Possibly naively I'm hoping that there more trading gains here on a brexit deal | williamcooper104
21/11/2020 10:37 | Well, given I had a core holding at c195p, and a "trading" holding at c181p, I've sold out this week at 247p. Love the stock, but I see this price as FV (div yield is around 6.7%), and I needed the capital to redeploy elsewhere. I'll look to gradually drip feed back in at under 250p - buying back in my "core" holding in 20% chunks at each 10p drop. Would be happy to hold those for the yield, absent any change in the company's fortunes. | kirkie001
20/11/2020 13:52 | Legal & General Capital (LGC) has launched a Suburban Build to Rent (SBTR) business, which will develop large scale ‘single family’ rental communities across the UK. The housing arm will partner with UK housebuilders and undertake a direct delivery programme to bring forward in excess of 1,000 homes each year from 2024. Nigel Wilson, chief executive of Legal & General, said: “As we prepare for economic recovery, businesses like ours must continue to invest in our future. In light of the pandemic, it is more important than ever that we deliver the houses that our society needs to address structural shortages across every dimension of the market. We are still falling far short of the over 300,000 new homes needed each year. “To support this growing need, Legal & General has deployed institutional capital at scale to revolutionise affordable housing, later living, the urban rental market, build to sell and to speed up construction through modular housing. It’s now time that we play a significant role in the suburban single family rental housing market. Legal & General have the will, the capital and the deep sector knowledge to invest and drive real impact.” | mo123

18/11/2020 14:33 | Looks like market pricing in a deal with EU next week Might be a case of buy rumour/ sell on the news Could be a correction before upward trend resumes - but I am a long term holder anyway, here and over at Phoenix GLA | panshanger1

17/11/2020 19:18 | Yep - have seen a few of my more defensive stocks sell of on prospect of rising yields - so LGENs hopefully a bit of a hedge on that And if we do get a deal next week then that's got to be worth a share price pop | williamcooper104
17/11/2020 17:50 | 22/4. Great strength to run past 250. | actybod
17/11/2020 16:24 | All possible The downside is sterling rising/dollar falling - but that will do less harm to LGEN than many other Ftse 100 companies | williamcooper104
17/11/2020 15:27 | Morgan Stanley saying the FTSE 100 could rally by around 17% next year. Pretty much mirrors the GS forecast for the index to hit 7200. | mo123
