That is why everyone here is so annoyed, the 14 - 15
results were very good, cash in the bank and a handsome
dividend covered, then that, and the drop from 35p to 10p.
Enough said.

Just looked back at the announcement of the purchase of an 8 storey office building in Singapore.
Forgive me I'm sure you have probably done this to death but WTF?!

I looked it up on Google and it was available to rent.
The rate for 1 floor multiplied by all 8 floors was advertised at 2.6m SG$

The announcement states the ongoing finance cost to be £600k pa which would have been nearly 1.3m SG$ at the time.

So in order to buy it the finance cost would have been 6 months rental.
The purchase price would have been 28 years rental after costs and stamp duty
so they need to run this for 42 years to cover rental alternative which would have given them £34m to invest in the business channels elsewhere.

However if you are negotiating a long term lease on 8 floors not 1 you would expect a huge discount and the landlord to do the maintenance.

I got to ask how does this work out to be in the company's best interest?

It does say "unconnected with the Company or its shareholders" that does not expressly say unconnected with the directors, I note - is that inferred ?

I can see the rage in me if I was a shareholder at the time - 10% of business overseas and they spend ALL the cash on a new office?????!!!!

Not saying that for a minute, just saying what is
happening at fccn regarding poor management, could
happen here, dyor.

Reading the last few posts;
so Mike Ashley is a shareholder?
He may not be great at public relations but he has a way with business.

As for expecting anything from brokers.....

How low can this go ?

Never saw this as a penny share candidate to a once darling of the clothing industry. What are the sodding brokers doing to support, let alone, promote the Company?

b

And these, also Kath Kidston all the same as aly, the way
this company is being managed is a disgrace, the
dynamic founder Mrs Laura Ashley would be most disappointed.

Steinhoff International, the South African retailer in the midst of an ambitious international expansion, has reported a rise in profits, even as its diluted per-share earnings were hit by the stock issued to finance an acquisition spree in the US and UK.

And more growth from others, whilst our boss argues in court.
Online upstart Boohoo is seeking £50 million from investors to fund a blockbuster warehouse as stellar growth continues.

DISGRACE.

I've had a few bloody noses from the market before, I am sure there will be more in the future. Make hay while the market is flying and limit the losses when it is not.

In the IC 24.02.17 it stated the broker CF had yr end 2017
expected profits at £11m and eps of 1.2p, has there been
any broker downgrades since?

Anyone not making money in this market should give up. I am up over 15% already in 2017 and have made double digit every year for the past 5 years.

Maybe you should tell Mr Woodford and Odey how easy it
is with the big companies, how have they done in the
past twelve months?

The FTSE was up 5% in May alone, in a rising market all you have to find is alpha shares, what is the obsession with dodgy companies and terrible share price charts?
